Ray is a great guy to have help on that job. That Wheatie character..... well that's a whole other story.
Whole heartily agree. However, it would REALLY be a good idea to have someone double check behind him in case, say there's distracting conversation going on or altitude sickness or...both.

...altitude sickness...
Altitude sickness is just part of the overall syndrome, it also includes backyard jumps for the riding lawnmower and golf cart as well as vicious furniture which tracks down and attacks people when their guard is down.

Made progress! I found the CCT! The bad news is I can only see about 40% of it and there is no DOT on it. It seems like I may have to remove the tank to get a look at the top of the CCT. Is that accurate?
Did I mention that I didn't realize how hard it was to do this crap wearing bifocals?!?!
Here's some crappy pics... I could see more than the photo shows.

My eyes are starting to make the simple things harder. My glasses make my close-up depth of field bad.
Now you know where the idle speed adjuster is

Jim, best bet is to remove the two screws at the front of the tank, loosen the back bolt slightly, lift tank, put a handy dandy tank prop to hold it up (~11" piece of wood with a short finishing nail each end), move insulation panel on right side, get a full top down view... you can't really see properly going in from the right side I don't think...... anyway, 10 minutes and you'll know.

That's what I was figuring! Thanks Ray!

Got the tank up. After looking at the CCT, there are NO paint marks on it. I guess that it is on the priority list for replacement.
TIL (Today I Learned)
1. FJR tank comes off WAY easier than the V-Strom tank. Thanks, Yamaha!
2. The MCL upper Triple clamp with built in riser is not adjustable. It even takes away the little adjustment that was in the stock. It is what it is.
3. My mid-pipe O.D. is 2". I took off the Holeshot can off the Holeshot 4-2 header to measure. (I bought myself a caliper!). I need to investigate and see the ID of the stock cans matches up. I am either going to buy some used stock cans and sell the Hole Shots OR I am going to get Delkevic 18" oval cans with baffles. Those are the two quietist options I have found with hours and hours of internet searches.
4. If kids or the wife come into the garage to pester, ask them to help and they will disappear.
