I run Olympia AirGlide 5 Jacket and AirGlide 4 pants. I have crash tested Olympia gear and for the money I think it's pretty solid.

ETA- I can say firsthand that the Olympia airglide 5 set looks good. I had the unmitigated pleasure of meeting jwilly so ensconced recently.
I have a nice firstgear meshtex jacket and pants. Never occurred to me to zip them together until now. If only to make you guys feel even smarter, I’ll confess: I wear stich Dariens fall/winter/spring. I wear a leather police motor jacket or mesh jacket on cool early mornings (in North Georgia early mornings are cool most of the year). But when it’s near 80F or higher, I’m probably in 5.11’s and a short sleeved, synthetic T-shirt. Part of this is how I ride. I do lots of long days. But I do a lot of commuting too (and if I’m doing a thing in a place for work where I’ll be using a local or rental vehicle, sometimes I’ll turn it into a ride as well). If I drench my protective gear in sweat today, it isn’t getting worn over work clothes the next morning. I will say that the firstgear stuff is well made. I’m going about 4 hours away Monday, staying there for the week, and coming back. I might rock the mesh down and back. Zipped together even.

Follow on- I wore my primo mesh today. Tried to zip it together but zipper was backward. Same brand and model. Do these come with a separate panel or something that I’m missing?

You probably checked this, but is it possible the little zipper tag doodad was just slid to the wrong end to start with?

No. It’s a left to right issue. I can easily zip the jacket to the pants if the jacket is facing backwards. Oriented properly, they can’t be zipped together.

First time I've heard of same brand components not zipping together.
Your pants should have come with both parts of the zipper. You could (or find a seamstress who could) sew the correct counterpart to your jacket. I think that's your only option. But please do not fret - the zipper works. DAMHIK

That IS a head scratcher. If you hadn't professed that was the case, I would swear you were yanking our chains about the jacket not zipping to the pants of the same brand gear. wtf!
