One draw back to no cruise I've found. It's a lot harder to take a nap when you're having to manually regulate the speed.

Same here. Sadly though, a replacement FJR is not in the cards for a little while longer for me, so I'll have to keep schlepping along without CC.
I will say though, those of you riding without push button shifting, well you simply do not know what you are missing.

Back on Topic:
44 degrees for my ride to work this morning. This shield is wonderful for winter riding. It kept much more of the wind off my front paws. Normally in this temp range I wear a Cycle Gear balaclava under my helmet to keep the wind off my throat. I decided not to this morning just to test the shield. I am very impressed.
Back off Topic:
I never knew how much I needed Cruise Control. It is especially nice for those poor folks who are following me because I cannot maintain a steady speed and sightsee at the same time.

Shield looks nice Redfish...wish it was a little darker though, I can still see yer smiling face behind that shield on that gorgeous FJR.

From the side view, the taller shield appears to have a bit more flip as well.
I really like the tint on the C/B. On the lipstick, uh..... AWESOME red bike, it looks really nice.

Thanks, man. Looks like the shortie (21") is in my future, because it looks badass.

I've been going back and forth between the shorty and the 21. If you had to do it all over again, which would you buy?

I'd say he'd buy the shorty, you know, cuz he's a form over function kind of guy, but based on his descriptions of his other half, that might not be the case.
I do happen to know the truth and based on this he'd go with the shorty.

There are (to my knowledge) 3 sizes. The Sport is a 19", the 21" and the 23". The factory shield is 18"
My first shield was the 19", this new one is the 21". If I could only have one, I would buy the 19". It works great and it looks great.
After this morning's Cool Weather test I am convinced that I need BOTH! I am going to tell my wife to be expecting another package from Cee Bailey. I may not tell her
today...

Yeah, my terminology might be confusing: the 19" is sport, the 21' is short, and the 23" is a tall drink of water. But I need something that keeps the wind off my delicate hands, so the sport model won't work.
Rode for an hour this morning; started at 37F. Thanks goodness for full sun! At the end of the ride it was 45F, but my knuckles were frozen.

Next time we get together 'junior, check out my VStream for a size comparison. FWIW, for most of our riding the 21" CB would be a nice compromise size for protection and air flow.
My $.02...and worth exactly what you paid for it!

I am excited to report that Pop and I are supposed to meet up with hppants tomorrow morning so that 'pants can try this new windshield. We may even have another forum member join us on this little excursion.
If this one turns out like most of hppants' rides there may be some decent pics later. Of MY bike.

Will your beautiful wife be riding with you?

Seriously? I guess not! BigUn riding with me? Never.
Because:
1. She hates me.
2. She does not like the motorcycle. Probably because I like it.
3. The seat is too narrow.
4. The suspension is not rated for that much weight.
5. No riding gear available in size MR. (medium rhino)
In order to put my wife on the back of the FJR I would have to get a custom welded subframe. It would have to be made of 4 inch angle iron. I would need the coil spring from the front of a '79 Ford F-350. I would need a back tire from a dump truck to support the weight.

It must be intimidating to be married to someone so beautiful that you must lie to keep scoundrels from seeing the truth.

The fact that pretty woman puts up with him makes me believe there have to be angels. I think she only stays with him because he's a hard worker and can cook. It's for dammed sure not because he's smart or handsome!

Damnit, I'm agreeing with HRZ about something? Well, actually, pretty much everything he says here I agree with.

Since this thread is nearly all the way off the rails, I rang up RedFishes phone today and I heard a "Hello" from a sweet, heavily accented, Louisiana princess. As I asked for Andrew, I immediately was reminded of a saying in regards to men who do not deserve such beautiful women. The saying basically states that Andrew out kicked his coverage.
As for the shield, I hope you both love it.
