Houston, we have a problem.
I just notice a faint knocking when idling in first gear with the clutch in.
seems okay when riding and definitely okay in neutral with clutch engaged or not engaged. Can I ask others to try try this and report back?
Thanks,

I also posted to other sandbox...
Does it happen with the bike in neutral - with or without clutch pulled? Other gears with clutch pulled?

Every gear, just tried all of them.
Not in neutral with clutch in or out except when shifting from first to neutral it does it for a few revolutions then it stops until I put it back in gear.

Steady or sort of random knocks?
Does it disappear if you raise the idle to 1500-2000 RPM?
Is it coming from the right side (i.e CCT) or the left? (clutch maybe)
Just a noise or can you feel it in the bars?
I don't really have any idea - just throwing some stuff out there to try to pinpoint the possible source.
I think you need to talk to the guys that did the work.

I haven’t tried increasing rpm, just listening at idle.
Sounds louder from left side, clutch master cylinder.
Very steady rhythm, almost like a kink in a chain if you let a chain drive run while on the center stand.

I'm not sure what the issue is, and all I know is they completely remove the clutch and basket when doing the recall. I'd take it back to Shore and have them investigate. They can pull the clutch cover and plates, see if something's amiss, verify basket installed properly/torqued, etc.

Booked for next Thursday
Curious to hear what they find. Other than the noise, seems to working fine.

I remember you had some shifting issues with the new bike - compared with the original. Just wondering if the transmission recall made any improvement with that?

To be honest I don’t think there is any difference
It works fine, same odd little shift hiccups.
Hooks up just like it should.
If it wasn’t for this noise I would never know anything was ever done to it.
