Ok, that was a good one. And thanks for sharing even though it may be a little embarrassing.

For the record, that's how I get up off the carpet these days.....

That could have been far worse. You were wise to not try to get up while on the ice. The streets probably would have been equally as unforgiving. Glad you weren’t injured.

Well - yesterday, I slipped on about 1/16" of ice. Most thankfully, a bush broke my fall. I ended up with a few nasty marks on my face, but it could have been much worse.

By the time I realized anything, it was LONG over.....

Was this before or after shampoo...asking for clarity. Don't get me wrong, 1mm of ice is enough to take anyone out.

Hope you didn't hit the noggin too hard... And if there are no scars, it wasn't a crash. Don't count.

Thanks! It wasn't much better this morning but I was a bit wiser than yesterday, got the car unplugged, safely got into the car. Driving wasn't bad but for the other drivers who wouldn't go faster than 18 MPH if they simply saw something white-ish on the road. Had reasonable traction in my driveway and on the subdivision streets which were solid ice.

Crazy to be driving a new car with only 700 miles on it in these conditions but it is the best vehicle I have for the task.

My PT therapist said she had only 3 appointments today. And the other 4 therapists didn't show at all.

If you didn't have an electric car, you wouldn't have had to make an extra trip on the ice just to fall. Another reason not to have an EV. Glad you weren't hurt too bad. Let this be a lesson to you. :)

I learned from my falll.

Conditions were not any better the next day, possibly worse because there was a little melt on top of the ice. Water on the ice. Baby steps. Unplugged the Y, put the cable away. Returned and got in successfully. Returned home, got out, plugged in, safe!

Edit: didn't pay attention to the sound before posting. Neighbor is warming his diesel truck across the street.

Get back out there and try it a bit faster, that way you’ll get over the icy spots quicker 😉

Glad to hear you are ok.

No need to change tires for just one day per year. Nate can just be smarter next year and not ride that one day. :D
