Ok. I should have known this was going to be too damned difficult. We have been busy! At the end of the day I am usually tuckered out and it's all I can do to go through all the photos I have taken and try to weed out most of them, then make a post to Facebook - since it is relatively easy. BTW, I am not a fan of FB but it does make posting travel photos easy. Then, it's time to plan for the next day. I know. Poor me.

Today was a bit of an off day as my FJR was getting a leaking fork seal replaced. I had hoped to post a lot of photos but that is obviously not going to work. So, I am going to try to get some of the highlights out now. So far, its been a great trip. After spending the first 12 days in Switzerland, we now in Italy, Milan, specifically. The 2nd half of our adventure starts tomorrow.

Should you care to go through the myriad of photos that are in my Smugmug 'Europe 2023' folder, below is the link. Be warned: there are a LOT. Even after considerable downsizing. Linky thingy: https://www.smugmug.com/app/organize/Europe-2023

Susan has got me off the moto much more than normal this year hiking, and exploring. Less moto piccies. You've been warned!

Day 1. Germany's Black Forest to Brienz, Switzerland.

I love the European Alpine countryside, stunning and quaint at the same time.

Daily reports are difficult to do, so thanks for the photos, as they are awesome!

Hi. I'm in northern Italy, near Lugano, Switzerland. If you're in the area, maybe we can hook up for a beer(which from your photos, I see you like!).

Well, damn. We were in your area of the world yesterday. That would have been fun. Today, we started with Spluga Pass, Lake Como for lunch, and then eastward into the countryside.

Doing something a little different tonight. Today's recap. Obviously not in chronological order.

We started our day in Splugen, Switzerland. Then it was off to one of my favorite passes - Spluga Pass crossing into Italy. Next was the northeast edge of Lake Como where we had a wonderful lunch stop. Finally, it was eastward into the Italian countryside on some gnarly, twisty roads. Just another terrible day. :D

My Swiss German isn't all that good but I think the rough translation here is, "Don't Be A Dumbass"! I think that kind of looks like Wheatie..... :stickpoke:

These cows sit right next to the edge of the road. Nothing fazes them and they don't budge. I think they are enjoying their front row seats and waiting for someone to f*** up!

Although the falsity of an alleged defamatory statement must be proven by the plaintiff as a part of the defamatory statement element of the plaintiff's case, in most states, a defendant's contention that the statement was true is deemed to be an affirmative defense.
