Odd routing there along the east coast, looks like maybe plans to hit the dragon were in order, but it looks like a more direct route is being taken.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I think his initial route would have taken him into Tennessee twice, so maybe he re-evauated.
At least this new route, if he’s going straight down I-95S, will keep him out of Atlanta.
Unfortunately, there’s not any way to avoid the hot mess, that is SE Flatistan.
Some I stopped the first gas station. Garmin didn’t have it in the database. Then let it reroute to the next state. Shaved about 400 miles off the planned route. Good example was heading to WV and pass through a small sliver of VA and there was a gas station there. No need to go any further on that one.
Headed for the keys this morning. Finishing the SCMA 4 corners

Yeah, but get off the bike around 4 or 5p, take a shower, go to a sit-down restaurant, have some drinks, back to the room, relax, and then sleep for 7 or 8 hrs.
A
LOT different than the trek they just finished. I’m sure the ride home will feel relaxing, especially with the knowledge that they ‘did it’.

Going to go visit Greg Rice at his cabin tomorrow. Ride the Dragon and then go to Traxxion Dynamics to have some maintenance on the shocks done on Thursday. Then head up to Pittsburgh getting in late Thursday night. Greeting the riders as they come in Friday morning.
Saw at least half a dozen IBR riders go to or coming from Key West today. Pretty sure a couple were some of the
big dogs.

By the time we hit Pittsburgh and then get home we will be about 15,500 miles this trip.

Spelling it "later" or "lated" or even "latem" would have slipped right through. "Latex" brings out the best (or worst) in this group.

You really timed things well with your picture in Key West. My last two visits had a line a mile long with people.

Stats:
15 days, 14 riding (didn't ride 6/30 - IBR finish day)
Bike ODO: 15,055 miles
GPS ODO: 14,857 miles
Moving average: 72 mph
Overall Average: 41.8 mph (for 360 hours - 15 days)
I submitted the paperwork today for the following:
1. Saddlesore 12K
2. Nested 48 states challenge inside the SS12k
3. Saddlesore 2K for the trip home.
4. SCMA 4 corners ride
All are subject to verification and approval. Looking through the IBA record list, it appears that we may be the first 2up couple to do a SS12K and the 48 states challenge.
Here is the spotwalla track of our trip
