Well, nice to see it around still, brought back the blue I presume to stimulate some sales..... how many do you really think they're gonna sell? Not very many bragged about their new '21's and 22's, can't be selling many..... no worries, they can crank out a batch run in a couple days that likely satisfy all the projected sales... maybe they're just hanging on until Kawi says they're done with the C14, so they can brag they were the last one in the game..........

Yamaha's research and development has not been devoting much, if any, to to the FJR platform. Siince the change to Gen 3s in 2013, a sixth gear was added, to disastrous result. Not a properly engineered change to the platform. A few upgraded lighting gizmos, but nothing major. Unfortunately, the platform continues to get more dated, as do most of it's followers. I like my 2015ES, but it is just not the go to bike it used to be for me. Due to bad knees, and one replacement, my 2014 GS is a more comfortable and very capable platform that gives me the ability to enjoy some offroad, load up and travel, and blast twisties as fast as I want to these days. I will keep my FJR, as I like the inline 4s smooth delivery of power, and it is a fun change from the GS. I have no desire to upgrade to a newer FJR. There is just no compelling redesign or technology that warrants it. My GS, on the other hand continues to be upgraded in both design and technology, and has some alure from that perspective. Although the entry price is a bit steep for a new one. I am not trying to denegrate the FJR. It is just a platform that seems to be being sunsetted by Yamaha. I am glad I have my 15ES with 29k miles. It will satisfy that fun ride whenever I choose, for a long time. I have had FJRs since 2006, and don't regret that. I am lucky to have choices whenever I choose to ride. Just my $.02, YMMV.

Only one? Pffft! I figure I've got at least five more in me.

Not sure if I'll buy another or not. I absolutely love the bike, no question, but want to see a color change. I know, first world problem. If the final production is in Kenny Roberts livery........
