Nice of Papa Chuy to only pose beside it. It would've been really embarrassing for him to have to sit there waiting for the EMTs and Fire Dept to show up with a KTM stuck between his cheeks.
No worries Steve-O, Bust was on this ride with Bugnatr and Chuy, Barry gave me an "air start" and the KTM popped right out! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

Ya know...... I was gonna give you shit, but the "air start" phrase stopped me cold. Gonna add that to my forum vernacular

Little update.
Got a quote on a '13 KTM 990 SMT with a center stand and the 30 liter adv panniers + mounts (not installed!)
$19,318 + $62 for a plate, and that's with a little over $600 knocked off.
I can get a new FJR for that price.
Throw in $400/yr more for insurance and the Austrians can go back to yodeling out there their asses.

WOW that's a lot of yodeling! I picked a left over 2010 last year at a decent price. They went up a couple grand in 2012 with abs. This is the last year Katoom is making the SMT so it won't be long before mine is a cult bike

Ouch, that increase in premium is more than I pay for my FJR a year....full coverage with $100 collision deductible.

Plus Steve-O, Dougie Bear and Papa Chuy will teach you the secret Wehrmacht marching songs and the Panzer Krieg handshake! Jawohl, es geht mir gut! (means the same as: jes' sayin' and nuff' said!).

The S10 is on my very short list after an hour long test ride last year. Great bike, but I just can't get passed the look (true for all adv style bikes with me). The SMT is on the transformers side of the ugly for me. I could live with it, but not at that price.
It's gonna be a nice weekend up here and I may wonder out to my fav Yammie dealer and see if they still have the 13 FJR on the floor, if not, well then I'll ride the 04 for at least another year and see what they do with the FJR for 14.

Hey! Based on what you've had for weather this year, you better think hard about a nice CanAm Spyder with snow tires!! Besides you need an excuse to visit Miss Tyler for lessons and photo ops (I might even go with you).

Can Am Spyder with a set of BFGoodrich All Terrians mounted, through in some KC Day Lighters and they could markt I as the "Up North, eh" package.

More like UniMog... with chains on the tires.

My local Yamaha dealer gave me $5400 for my '07 FJR with 87K miles on a trade-in for a new Super Tenere. I tried selling it but couldn't even get a nibble......until after I traded it, of course. Then I had 2 people wanting to buy it.
