I have had great luck with carbon fober uni tape from the hobby shop and CA glue used on finger nails (comes with a brush and is slow set). Dab some CA down and put a layer of uni tape on it. Cover with more CA. Repeat as necessary until desired strength is achieved. Re drill what ever holes are covered with a SHARP drill and take it very easy. Cut, don't bore.

In the case of the clip nut, it could probably be entrapped in carbon during the process.

Another opportunity would be taking the offending part to a body shop amd have an experienced plastic welder fix it. Those guys can work wonders on plastics.

Both of you clowns would do well in a Prius. Not the same Prius, but I don't know the plural of Prius. Is it Priuses? Prei? Pussy Mobiles? Probably that last one!

Ugly but effective ... and aesthetics be damned, this bracket is completely hidden. GREAT JOB, my Canadian friend! (Is there a tariff on this exchange of ideas?)

YES. He can come to EOM if he brings the beers.

Lines coming with this year (cuz organizer said he'd ban me if I came alone again), so that means I'll be hauling the bike instead of riding it. I'll have room for a box or two.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. From what the word is on the street, the organizer is always coming alone.

BUT thanks for the beer!

Gotta bring something that resembles beer with me. Unless you're going for craft beers, any of the mass market US beers are like f@$king in a canoe.
