Purple? You must have me confused with Willy Wonka. Wheelie bar? Not necessary. I have problems getting things up on the SV650 due to a medical condition know as no balls syndrome. Maybe I can grow some steel ones on the new fjr someday
Welcome to the forum Bao! I will be attending the Ohio Ramble, but the Indiana one is still up in the air. I have the vacation days scheduled but I may need to move them to my anniversary weekend. The 14 day trip to nova Scotia is sucking up most of them. Can't wait till we can get together and do some ridding this summer. Lots of good information and good people on this board. Enjoy!

On the other hand, I see a brand new 2015 at a Ride Now dealer in Phoenix for $12,000 . . .

1) Welcome.
2) I used to live off Sheridan Road. Great Lakes Naval Training Center barracks in the mid-1970s. It never gets warm there.
3) 2015 models are the schnizzle. Liquid Graphite attracts babes.
4) Aunt Kelly has an SV650; it weighs less than a fully-loaded FJR saddlebag. Scary thing to ride through town.
5) If you can wheelie your FJR -- real wheelie, not just lift the front tire -- please post it here. I will be impressed.

There are FJR wheelies on the innernet since 2002.
I'm too askeered to try one on purpose, but I have accidentally lifted the front tire on a curve accidentally.
I could get the front off the ground on both the 05 and 07. 05 was easier, I think due to a shorter swing arm and taller gears. Not a full on wheelie. I'm too chicken to try that with the FJR.
The 14 just blinks the TCS light at me and goes. Lol

I find that motorcycles tend to attract dudes more than babes. I hope you are correct about the graphite attracting more babes as I would like this ratio to increase from the current 0 babes.
