You are right on about the weather. MSTA has been going there every year for around five years, but the following weekend. Last year we arrived on Thursday and the weather was great and in upper sixties. Friday was great too, but Sat and Sunday temp went into free fall. I think it was two years ago, it snowed. That's why MSTA changed to the same weekend as EOM, plus like you, a lot of members found it better for their schedules. In October, WV's weather is always a crap shoot.
It is NOT the destination. It is the RIDE getting there!

FYI - I have reached out to the MSTA organizer - Very nice fella and I look forward to meeting him in person. We're going to keep in touch between now and the rally(s) and neither one of can come up with any valid concerns with being at the same venue at the same time. They are a more diverse group, brand wise, but all share the same passion as us - two wheels...

It's only one. One for the TDM as a preview of the other for the FJR. :stickpoke:
And like Joe said, you know you want to. You just have to convince yourself to work up the nerve to ask for permission. Joe said he'd ask Mrs. Clocklaw for ya if it will help! ;)

Well, Honestly, I can only do so many....so for the year I am looking at the MMM, the 'family' reunion, Women's Sportbike Rally, EOM, and MAYBE the SEO, FZ1 Gap Rally, and STAR depending on how they fall. I am also trying to work on my business and study for my Surveying License in my "spare" time. Add to that Mrs. Clocklaw only gets so many days of vacation a year and her company is pretty anal about how she spends it (can't have a Monday unless you take the whole week, etc) it's tough to line it up. Basically I throw away 50 or so hours of vacation time a year because she can't get the time off to go with me and as much as I love you fucksticks I'd rather stay home and ride with her than go by myself.

As for Joe asking Brenda, you guys really don't get it. She loves to do this as much as I do, with me, and looks forward to these as much or more than I do....I don't ask for permission, I tell her what is going on and SHE helps to decide which we are going to do (i.e. the Woman's Sportbike Rally).

Wasn't sure if I was going to make this event as I am starting a new job on Monday. (I know, I did the same thing this time last year.) After I let the HR lady know about my family vaca in June and FODS and EOM she reluctantly agreed. I really wanted to go to SEOHIO but thought I better not push my luck. :stickpoke:
SO, I'm IN :D

I may try to take the entire week this year, do some stretching out for a change. Maybe even stay a night in one of those fantastic EastKY lodges that we used to frequent before circling back toward LewisburgWV. Haven't stretched my legs in a couple years. Still trying to ride all the roads within a day of home.

Sorry Kevin. The strawberry juice is already brewed. The strawberries were just off the vine at peak and too good to pass up. I mixed it for FODS and stepped on it pretty hard to make it go farther (very user friendly!), I decided we would be better off without it at Pipestem.

I might be able to locate another batch for some cherry juice. Got a line on some big black cherries possibly coming in on Tues morning at the local farm store. Soft part near done. Now for the hard parts. Time will tell.

Get a room you two!

I took your advice Top_Speed1 - KJ, Miss Donna and I are now booked for EOM! The right arm is still not ready for motorcycling so I'm searching for BMW Z3 Roadsters, test drove 4 last weekend and will test drive 4 this upcoming weekend. My right arm is so fucked up I'm looking at automatics, even though I'd prefer a stick!

How is the final drive on that white roadster? 8-)
My wife asked me why I speak so softly around the house. I said that I was worried that someone was listening. She laughed, I laughed, Alexa laughed.
