I also note a lack of participation from one of our other forum celebrities, Julie. What's up with that?

Okay... I narrowed it down to just two... it was really a challenge because there have been so many really special moments that I was able to capture in a photograph... there's a story behind each one that makes me smile... hope it does for all y'all too. ;)

Strange, my photo has been bouncing between 12th and 14th and now is back up to 11th. Can't figure out if I'm going to make the cut or not. :D

I think I said it last year and got told "i'll do what I want" from someone, but if you read the rules, the intent is for everyone to vote on EVERY image. The fact that some photos have 28 votes and some have a dozen shows that some aren't doing that. You don't have to want a photo on the calendar to vote on it. It specifically says in the description of voting that you vote for photos you like but don't want in the calendar all the way to ones you think need to be in there.

Every image SHOULD have the same number of votes. NOT the same RATING but the same number of VOTES. Tim mentioned it earlier but it seems to have had little impact.

...and Cav passes Jwilly on the inside of turn 3 to take the lead (with 1 less vote, I might add).

This Calendar photo is the ONLY way I could pass him. I have ridden with him and it was hard to keep him in sight!

By the way, if you haven’t viewed these photos on a decent monitor, you are missing out. I did one better and opened this thread on our Samsung HD Tv. Wow, the detail and quality really shows up on the big screen compared to a phone sized screen or crappy monitor at school.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

OK, I just want to throw out another reminder for next year. Set your cameras for the highest resolution they will go! I've turned away far too many pictures because there isn't enough resolution to print. Don't miss out on capturing an experience properly because you were too cheap to buy a memory card. They are not expensive. Put them on your list for Christmas.

Not singling anyone out, but I've turned away a dozen pictures because of low resolution or being in portrait orientation. I'll try to throw a reminder out again so folks are taking calendar-ready photos next season.

In the last few days, there have been some shakeups towards those last few spots. Going to come down to the wire for that top 12.

Also...according to the number of votes on the contest...we only have about 28-30 active members on this board.

FIFY

Seems like everyone's pic should have at least 28 votes

Almost all the top-scoring photos are looking from ON TOP of a mountain, or looking AT mountains. Hunh. Makes me wonder.

<edit 3 mins later> I have voted for every photo, since none appear when I click "Show Images Not Voted On".

Hey, BkerChuck, is that Three Mile Island in the background? If so, it earns 5 stars on principle.

Hmmmm, a quick lookie at some of my pixs, I think I can buck that trend if when we do next year's calendar.

The picture below is beemerdon's FJR that we were adding miles to --

The picture below wouldn't be calendar capable because of the narrow cropping, I would have to re-crop the image to a better ratio.
