Well, there's a commitment!

Thanks for giving them the ole poke in the eye.

What the hell are we supposed to do with that?

Well, as of yesterday, no 2019 FJR listed. As of right now, there is a 2019 FJR1300 and FJR1300A listed. The 2019 ES is the same color as the 2018. Matte Phantom Blue, available from November 2018.

The A model is liquid graphite. Also available from November 2018.

I bet a dollar they're not done updating, and that the 2019 FJR1300ES will change color. Edited to add- one of the 2019 gallery pictures of the graphite gray bike shows ES forks/fender. I think the 19 ES is going to turn graphite.

I'm thankful the '19 A is in a color I'm not a fan of, I have my first kid going to college next year.

Clicking quickly between the 2018 ES and the 2019 ES models reveals ..... that they are almost identical pages. Even the Yamalube ad shows up in the same spot.

I will continue to keep a CLOSE eye out on their website in case any new products may be announced.

Right now, somebody at Yamaha is getting an alarm that their website is about to melt down. One other difference between the 18 and 19- the 19 page says "available from November 2018". There is an FJR1300P police bike listed on the FJR page as well. But that may have been there already. I was kind of focused on conventional models.

Excellent! Another year of the best damn 2-up sportstourer on the planet!
Get 19s for the same price as the 18s!

I'm glad that the HarleyBarge design team did not f@$k with the FJR.

Thankfully they will have no trouble from me depleting their inventory with that Matte Blue color scheme. I will continue with my POS '15 ES with its POS 5 speed transmission, POS incandescent lights and hideous AssFault Gray color.

I need that $18K for other things anyway.

Tracer 900 GT is also listed as 'supersport tourer' with integrated side bags, 12-volt outlet, heated grips, ABS, and cruise control.

FJR junior, or FJRJR?

So....did they REALLY put the Tracer 900 3-cyclinder into the new NIKEN 3-wheeler? wow.

I think that should be Tyler-babe's new ride!

Any precedent for Yamaha making FJR’s the same color 2 years in a row?

Also a quick shifter, 3 power modes, 2 traction control modes, and a full color TFT dash. :P Really great bike for solo touring. Definitely more power off the line than the FJR without question. 150 lbs lighter than the FJR. It's a little taller to mount, but I find if I turn the front wheel all the way to the right, I can swing my leg over easily. Also no wrestling the center stand. The bike goes up on the center stand with ease. And boy is it fun in the twisties. I love my FJR for other reasons, but this bike has become my favorite. If you're lucky enough to own a sister bike for the FJR, the Tracer GT is it. Anyone visiting the Pittsburgh area is welcome to take it for a spin, but you have to give it back.

The chain maintenance is what turns me off about the tracer gt. If they put a shafty on it, that would be ideal. Of course you would lose a bit of power though. Shafty and Mary Kay pink and they have my money

Why wait until the absolute last minute for this? Just trying to get rid of '18 inventory before they have to give it away?

Well - at least the saga continues for another year. The truth is, it ain't broke, so why fix it? But a new color would have been nice and at least given us something to haggle over.

Meanwhile, me and my lipstick pink pal in the shop are gonna stay together another year....

I had no intention of trading my ‘14 until fall of 2019. But once I got it in my head that that would be cutting it too close, and became enamored with the matte blue, I lost
my soul.

Yamaha meant- watch the website for the next couple
of hours while we post what we didn’t realize that we forgot to. I believe that Festus precipitated this. Too close for coincidence. :)
