Mounted a new RS3 front tire on the FJR for my trip to Georgia next week. Only 600 miles on the rear RS3. Bike will feel new all over again for a couple thousand miles. The rear tire will have closer to 3000 miles on it before leaving for SD. I'll install a new RS3 on the rear before the trip. The front tire will be fine. I'll save the rear tire with 3000 miles on it to reinstall after I wear out the new rear tire out West. I also softened up the suspension all the way around by a couple of clicks. The suspension was a little too harsh for an old guy.

Applied graphine spray detailer to the bike. It's shiny.

Rode it from Spokane WA to Nelson BC, Canada, a short, but enjoyable 240 mile ride.
It is nice to be in Canada again.

Rode my FJR on great mountain roads in British Columbia. Canada today. It was sublime. I went from Nelson to Kelowna BC via Kaslo and Fauquier. Hwy 6 is a twist fest one of the best roads on BC.
My FJR on the Needles ferry.
Along highway 6.
My best Hppants imitation.
Today I rode the Mable Lake road, now I a not a Mable Lake road virgin. I didn't see Mable. Darn road was too twisted.

Love that area Jim. Last time I was there was in 2016 with Louanne.

Shhhhhhh…! BC is a best kept secret that should be kept secret.

I hate to spoil Pterodactyl assertion BC is the best kept secret but the Kelowna area has been discovered based on the traffic I witnessed yesterday and today. So my response is "Too late" with a
.
Anyway today I road on some backroads with some good pavement and some pavement with lots of frost heaves. Let's just say the suspension on the FJR was working overtime as was I to keep the beast going down the road at a reasonable clip. And I can confirm there are still wooden bridges in BC.
I skipped breakfast today and after wrestling with the FJR in less than it's ideal environment I was ready for a break and when in Canada what better place to take a break than Tim Hortons?
Getting the meal was a bit comical with an elderly woman taking orders who was simply overwhelmed and frustrated. I felt bad for her but she was doing her best so kudos to her.
The camera didn't get a work out today as it is hard to take on the go moto photos when the roads are rough.
This photo is at Lake Beth on the Chesaw highway in Washington State. I will skip this one next time. It used to be a great road but the pavement wasn't in great shape.
Later in the day I returned to state designated highways and there smoother pavement like Hwy 25 in Washington along the Columbia River.
Today my '17 FJR clocked 60,000 miles. I bought it use with 17,500 miles. Between my 09 and my 17 I have rode FJRs 150,500 miles.
The Dunlop RS3 tires on the bike have 5000 miles on them and won't see 6000 miles. The wear bars are close to being used on the front and the rear isn't far behind. Boo hoo. I had higher expectations of the RS3. Hopefully the RS4's I just received will last a bit longer.

Washed three days of grime off the FJR including all the illegally imported dead bugs.

Changed the oil today on FJR #17 in preparation for tomorrow's departure to the Toter Tech Day! Woot! And in a non-motorcycle specific, yet somewhat related subject, I am saving up my boogers....... JSNS!

Rode it 450 miles in western VA and eastern WV.
65 degrees and sunny in WV? I’ll take it. Not bad considering my day started at 1:55am with a spell of mild vertigo that woke me up. By wheels up time, vertigo was long gone but motion sickness was still a factor.
Breakfast and twisty roads instantly made me feel better.

After some design work, had a friend turn these out of delrin. Finished hardware, installed on the FJR and dialed them in today!

Mmm, I thought the whole idea of a forum was to share information, silly me.
