New battery after 160,000 km and 13 years. Replaced Bridgestone T32GT with Dunlop Roadsmart IV. New sticker on plate, cleaned up brake calipers and fixed some wiring stuff. Tomorrow AM, I will bleed brakes and clutch, lube hand levers, rear brake pedal and shifter linkage. Going to change rear drive lube even though it isn't due - want to make sure it all looks OK after the leak I experienced. Still no idea where it came from but hasn't reappeared with new drips while I had the wheel off.

Test ride tomorrow afternoon. Still need to do the rear-end service but will wait until I get the shock refurbished. (I have an old spare Penske that I'll swap out.)

Yeah, can't complain. I only got 10 years on the OEM Yuasa in my 2007 (but 250,000 km).

Sold the '07 with 295,000 km (185,000 mi) - still worked very well. Bought the 2011 (in 2018) with around 50,000 km (31,000 mi) and put an additional 110,000 km on it since. It has been a great bike but putting less annual distance on it for the past couple of years - sharing saddle time with a 2017 F700GS. Planning a ride out to Winnipeg in June on the FJR to visit daughter and family and thinking about whether I can combine that with a side trip for the Spearfish festivities - only a day's ride (680 miles) from Winnipeg. It would be nice to put some faces to some names.

Celebrating 1 year of ownership for the 2021. You can see a lot in 13,000 miles of riding:

Ordered new grip buddies. Cleared a random check-engine light attributed to “Multi-axis acceleration sensor "A"”.

...and that's probably why rain is in tomorrow's forecast...at least it will be nice for my ride on Thursday

I spritzed the windshield and headlights in preparation for a run on Wednesday north and west into NC. In the meantime, work occasionally beckons.

Getting the 13 set up for the ride north into Ramble land. See yall Thursday night. Oh yeah, also added an extra boat anchor for stability.

Not as interesting as some of the above posts, but road it to work. Mid 80s for the ride home.

Edit, make that upper 80s feeling like 96. Nice

Installed LED headlight bulbs in the 2013. There is no reason they need to be that much of a PITA to access. I did the 2014 when I swapped out the front fairing stay so that was simple.

Replaced clutch and brake fluids. When I removed the tank trim to access the rear brake fluid reservoir, the right side post that snaps into the grommet broke off. I scraped a little with a sharp knife blade, thoroughly cleaned with alcohol and used JBWeld to re-adhere by filling up the little well the post is in. Worked fine.
