So...today I sprayed some water on the 13 and wiped the bug laden 13 down. Its the least I could do, so I did it.

Friday - washed the SEO bugs off it and found this - one of my LED driving lights got hit by something - light still works, hunting down a glass place that can cut a new lens for me.

Some clear plexiglass will work also..... I had a set once with plexi lenses, and an amber set to swap out if I wanted.

Polycarbonate would be better than plexiglass, if you have access to it. I don't have any poly but I have tons of acrylic. If you go that route, tell me the diameter and thickness and I'll cut you a few and pop them in the mail. Take me about 5 minutes.

Took it to the dealer to get the engine warning light reset.
All I did was run it up through the gears on the centre stand. Yes, I expected it to come on with ABS and traction control lights, they both reset fine, but not the engine warning light.
Read the driver's manual, it says that is what happens.
This is the first FJR I've had that didn't reset itself (2018, my 2014 did reset itself).

Irritating that you have to get the dealer to do that for you. Did they charge for the service?
My new-to-me 2017 BMW F700GS has a "service reminder" that is supposed to be reset by the dealer when they service your bike. I purchased an aftermarket OBD2 device and diagnostic software (Motoscan) so I can do that (and other service/diagnostic stuff) myself.
I'm glad that my Gen II FJR doesn't have any such nonsense.

Reinstalled the front rim with fresh tire. In the rain. In the wind. Not pleasant.

You'll need a Yamaha OBD adapter harness and an OBD reader (cheapie is OK). Run the Torque Pro app on your phone...... can see basic data and you can clear error codes with that app, otherwise it's a dealer visit..... OBD harness is cheap on ebay (chinese) and OBD readers too.
Details here, including instruction sheets...... note, I no longer make the adapter harness..

My 2016 did it. I bought the OBD2 adapter pigtail on eBay and used an OBD2 scan tool to reset it.

You got a buyer?
Or is this in anticipation of showing it to a prospective buyer?
