Washed it from SEO. Then a coat of wax.
Awesome. You should visit Travelers Rest.
I should wash the bugs off by this weekend I'm thinking.

Posting here so D-Eagle sees that I did not wash my bike when I got home from SEO. It's dirty, tires are scrubbed in and the tank is full - it's ready for the next ride...

^^^^^^^^^ Cannot like that post.
My FJR got washed yesterday. Water beaded up and rolled off. Perfect.
I also changed the final drive oil in the new Wing. After changing engine oil and now the final drive oil in the Wing, it is heavily FJR=2, Wing=0 in the ease of maintenance department. (Both wash easily).

Wait until you get around to changing the air filter...

Root Beer was very dirty by the time we got trailered home. Versys too, but I am wondering a bit now why there's rust on the left crash bar
....... Seems with the heavy rain we went through, the water musta ran down the Kawi shaped saddlebag and into the muffler (shortie aftermarket). Exhaust was right full, and I mean right full including the headers almost up to the engine. Fired it up and it spewed like a fire hose. With half it out, rode up the shop let it warm up some then blipped the throttle hard a few times..... shooting sprays more than 20 feet. Unbelievable. Root Beer had no such water.

Couple of nice long wheelies would have helped...
So is it a function of the Versys design or the aftermarket muffler? Or the two working (not well) together?

I went for a ride yesterday..about 110 miles in total. I was perfectly comfortable on the bike, but I did (mostly) keep the speeds down to 100km/hr. There’s a band across my back, just below my shoulder blades, that started to ache about 30 minutes in..ribs not fully healed just yet.(damn). Back to the gym again today, going for a massage tomorrow and weather permitting, another ride on Thursday…pain killers before riding.

The gym will help enormously. You have a whole upper body of muscles and ligaments that have had minimal exercise since your accident. I assume you have had a bunch of physical therapy to improve range of motion, but strength and endurance building take purposeful exercise with significant resistance. Ibuprophen (taken an hour before the ride) is also extremely beneficial. I find it is much more effective than acetaminophen or ASA although I am not supposed to take it (or ASA) because I am taking a blood thinner.
Are you planning any longer distance (multi-day) rides this year? I might be headed your way in late June but I'm not sure at this point.

I went to physiotherapy from Aug.30-Dec.30…I’ve been at the gym since the end of August 3x a week, religiously. The range of motion in my right arm is about 75%…It still hurts to take a deep breath, but not as excruciating as it was 6 months ago.
I had a trip to Nova Scotia planned, then one of our Maine Coons got sick…the vet bill was within a few shekels of the trip budget, so I cancelled that trip.
I’m taking it week by week…

Today I:
1. Installed the Black Hills Moto saddle bag decals. Alex does a terrific job with these - I've had them on all of my FJRs.
2. Touched up the scratches with my Color-rite touch up pen that apparently is made out of gold (holy crap, was that expensive)
3. Did the rest of the detailing on the pumpkin, forks, engine area, etc. Good coat of wax on those exposed parts, as well as the lower chin part of the fairing.
With the dark shield, I think she looks pretty good!

Correct. The Cee Bailey shorty. A condition of the sale of my '14 was the ability to swap the OEM shield on the 2021 with my C/B shield.
