I have an observation. I'm only mentioned it in case it's a legit issue with the people printing it, Tim should be aware. If it's not an issue, then no worries either way. I'm not looking for anything in return.

It looks like they cropped the images poorly, it clips off the FJRiders logo at the top of every page. I'm sure Tim didn't submit them like that, since he's done it for so long now and knows what he's doing.

Anyone else have that issue? I bought 2 and both are like that. On the front cover, not that it matters, it clipped off the edges of the text on the left and right sides.

Before I have my say, I want it to be known that in no way is this being disrespectful to Tim for all the work he put into the calendar. It takes a lot of work organizing the submitted photos and preparing them for the company to print. Thank you Tim for all the extra work you've done to help raise money for the forum. Also, my Dad had an advertising agency for years and had many promotional items such as calendars printed. I was raised in that environment.

I've never bought an FJR calendar in the past. I'd rather donate money to the forum to help Wayne cover the expenses. For the first time I submitted a photo and it was chosen for the calendar. I thought, what the hell, I'll buy one. With shipping it was expensive so I was expecting a fairly good quality product.

I've never seen the quality of the images in past calendars. The image quality is poor, but maybe that's the way it's been in past years. As Festus pointed out, the way the cover and each month's page was cropped is poor. Maybe Tim can contact them and get some kind of discount for the quality of the finished product.

I'll continue to donate to the forum as I have in the past, but I probably won't be buying any more calendars. Truth be told, I have little use for a calendar anyway. The entire amount I spent on the calendar would've done so much more to support the future of this forum.

My apologies if anyone is offended by my comments.

On mine, the image quality is about the same as it has been on previous calendars. I also deal with printing and images every day, so my attention to detail is high on things.

For my own use, I don't care about the issues. I'll hang it, and give the other away, and they'll hang it and use it and never miss a beat. I certainly don't mind the errors and it won't change my life at all, nor do I seek "A better copy" of it.

Just wanted to make sure it was noted to Tim, just in case it's an error on the printing company, any future orders from others might be corrected.

I'm sure Tim will chime in; but the past calendars that I have had all been good quality, print wise, with no cropping of submitted artwork. There must be something funky with this run or their production shop.

Mine arrived yesterday and I brought it in to work with me this morning. I hadn't noticed any of these issue so I just pulled it down and went through it page by page. None of my pages have the FJRiders logo clipped off although they are trimmed very close. Front cover has very minor clipping on the right edge only. Image quality is as good as previous years on mine.

I worked almost 30 years for a book manufacturer so I've seen printing errors a few times....

While the photo quality is good, the layout is terrible. Clipped on every photo on the top and photo into the perforation on the bottom. Image

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the printer location can be anywhere..... my past calendars (if I elected to C$ and my home address) were printed and mailed from Toronto. You just order electronically and their printer location closest to you mails it out.

Too bad. It seems like no matter which way you turn, getting good work, quality products, or customer service is a disappointment. What's really frustrating is knowing that many hours go into making this calendar happen. Tim, thank you for all that you do.

Still waiting for mine to arrive. It got lost in the hand off from UPS to USPS. Fortunately, LULU is sent another at no costs since they confirmed there was a SNAFU in shipping.

Sigh. I am used to UPS missing my house. Not sure how someone making $16 an hour driving an amazon truck can find it but someone making $170000 a year cannot take the time to actually look. I have had many calls with UPS/Fedex dispatchers. I have cancelled items because of repeated “delivery next day”. I was even asked if I moved my house..think about that one…not did I move but did I move my house. Maybe this belongs in the complaint thread, but it is the price I pay for living in BFE. I will take wildlife over humans any day.

My shipment has been siting since 12/30 at UPS/USPS hand off location. I will give it a couple more days but may be in the same boat as you.

Yeah, mine was sitting at the handoff since 12/19. I finally contacted LULU on 12/27. They contacted me back on 12/30 to verify my address and then to confirm sending me a replacement. I suspect yours met the same fate as my first one.
