Introduction-Mark in Eastern PA
Greetings from West Chester, PA. I'm new to the group but hoping to figure out quickly how to contribute and be helped by FJR veterans. First bike was Honda CL350 back in 1973 so that pretty much dates me. After my two kids left the house I got back to two wheels...with the bullet proof Honda Nighthawk 750. I quickly outgrew it and picked up a used 2006 FJR which I loved from the get go. This year I decided to upgrade to a newer generation but personally did not care for the matte finish 0n the '18 so I looked and found a few months ago a 2016 with 1200 miles. I will be parting with the '06 once I learn how to let folks know about it on this forum. I did not know how good cruise control could be...plus a readable speedometer and the 6th gear ain't so bad either. -Mark

Was Bob on the team? Man, he never mentioned it at all. That guy is so humble.

Welcome to the madness. Like you, I returned to motorcycling in 2009 after the kids were grown. And like you, I started with a Honda Nighthawk, actually 2 of them ('84 700s followed by a '96 750) before upgrading to my first FJR.
Hope to see you on the rollercoaster!!

Thanks Chuck....getting it figured out but may need some coaching on full use downstream. Is is OK to post the sale of my '06 in the intro section?

Re: Introduction-Mark in Eastern PA
Mark, Not everyone bothers looking at the intro area so post it in the classified section. Not sure if there is a minimum number of posts to gain access to that or not.

Re: Introduction-Mark in Eastern PA
We are the same in that....a great color for sure. Would have tried a red but that was not an option for the newer ones. Maybe '14 was the last one?escapefjrtist wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 10:29 pm Welcome from metro Seattle and congrats on the [new] to you '16! Great color...had the same with a previous '06.

I like the madness. That is so crazy regarding the parallels in our lives. The Nighthawk was my second bike. First was the CL350 bought new back in 1973 I believe. Where are you located?Hppants wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 9:42 am Welcome to the madness. Like you, I returned to motorcycling in 2009 after the kids were grown. Re: Introduction-Mark in Eastern PA
First bike I ever rode on (as a teen passenger) was a CL 360 -Green. The owner of that bike rode my first bike (1977 CB550F) out of the dealer to a parking lot so I could practice...July 1977. I got my license shortly thereafter.mm16fjr wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 10:29 amI like the madness. That is so crazy regarding the parallels in our lives. The Nighthawk was my second bike.
