Does anyone here have any experience with MFW Vario footpeg lowering products?

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
I got a set on my Explorer but I put them on for my wife/passenger. They can rotate 360 degrees to ft your preference.
They are expensive and I was not able to remount my oem foot pegs to it, which are wider and more comfortable. As a result, I had to also buy MFW foot pegs which were also an additional cost. My wife's happy so I guess it was a good buy.
In my research there just wasn't much out there to choose from. I can take a couple of pics if you want to see what they look like mounted, let me know.

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
If this is for you, the rider, then I have nothing to add. If however, it is for a passenger due to knee issues, etc, I can recommend the "knifemaker" footpads that are out there. It allows my wife to put her feet farther forward than a footpeg, thus opening up the knee joint...and makes the difference between comfort and discomfort for her.
I thought at first I'd have to lower AND do the footpegs, but Tom Cale/huron52 wisely suggested just installing the footpegs alone first.
If this isn't your issue...ignore my post, as most do.

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
Not telling you something you don't already know...FJR already can have ground clearance issues from footpegs...putting them closer to the riding surface WILL have you taking less lean angle around a curve...whether you planned for that on that decreasing radius curve, or not.CollingsBob wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:39 pm This is for me..I have found this:

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
Does Dave make footboards anymore? What's the best way to get a hold of him? I don't have access to FJRForum anymore...

Latest I heard is Dave isn't making anything any more.... moving, life taking up his time...
However, you can make a set yourself if you're so inclined.

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
I totally understand, but DANG. This will keep Louanne off the bike, if I can't find a set.
...and no I can't make one.

Re: MFW Vario footpeg lowering kit
I did MCL lowering brackets for the wife. She didn’t like them. I have knifemaker floorboards I need to get around to putting on. Sorry, no experience with the vario.
