Hello one and all my name is Rae, I am originally from London UK and now live in West Yorkshire UK.
I have a 2013 Gen 4 (Gen 3 in the USA and Canada) in Midnight Black. I do a lot of European touring with my wife who rides pillion.
Hope I can contribute to the forum and be of use to you all.

It's the same as your Gen 3, we had the original 2001-2002 Fjr which is our Gen 1
2003-2005 Gen 2
2006-2012 Gen 3
2013-2016 Gen 4
2016-> Gen4+

I also have a 2013. Mine is gray and I like the color.
I bet that black looks really nice. Got any pictures of your bike?

They are all pretty much the same really

but I like it and must agree the FJR are nice looking sports tourers.
