When I change my rear tire I put the center stand on a 2x4 so the rear wheel and tire clears the rear fender. This works well until installing wheel / tire for it is about 3 inches too low. I don't have enough hands to lift the tire, install caliper, insert the washer, and insert the axle. So here is the solution. A rear tire change box.
The height of the box is 3.125 inches. It slips underneath the tire, holds the tire in place so my hands are free to install caliper, insert the washer, and insert the axle.
The box is easy to make. The interior has 2x4s to make for a sturdy box and easy assembly.

Nice Box.....I usually just use my legs to hold the tire in position. I usually put my centerstand on two 2x4 blocks to change the rear/front.......I may have to make one of these.

I use my feet too. If you have any trouble putting the bike on the center stand then you will never get it on a board. Have to have almost perfect technique. Makes the tire change so much easier, though.

I roll my rear tire onto a 2x6. Then I put two small 2x4s under the center stand feet. With the rear tire elevated, its no different than ever to get it on the center stand. Then I change the rear tire with ease.
One of these days, I'm gonna buy a lift! Being on the floor sucks.
I get to do the tire hokey-pokey on Sunday afternoon after I return from CFR. Front and back (yes, you heard right, I'm putting a car tire on JUST for the trip) and remove the forks to get a seal put in one leg + change the oil.

Man, I'm calling shit close on this trip. Rims and forks are coming off on Sunday. Tires mounted on Monday night, fork goes in on Tues. and hopefully, have everything buttoned back up for departure next Friday AM.

I was talking about changing the tires. Removing the wheels won't be an issue, as I can take anything apart. Though, putting things back together is where the cursing usually starts.

And she is better at that than I am. She is also taller and Bigger than me, so maybe that's why. I actually see the need to cut about 4 inches out of the height of my changer. or I need a platform around it to stand on....
You want the changer to be at a height so that when you have the bar set to change the tire, the end of the bar rests on your hip. I find this gives you the best leverage.
