Plate across bottom of subframe.
That plate that goes across the bottom that holds the adjuster for the shock that has been gone for years, and the Voltage regulator I think? Is the plate important? It's in the way. I'd like to relocate that regulator and dump the plate but not if it is structure. Anyone?

I think I left mine on, but removed the adjuster. I can't remember. I'll take a look when I get home.

Re: Plate across bottom of subframe.
It supports the front part of the rear fender.
When I took my subframe off, the plate stayed with the fender.
It might also give some strength to the subframe.

Re: Plate across bottom of subframe.
I vote no structural importance. Keep the regulator in the breeze tho.
I'm curious, what are you thinking needs to be right there instead?
BTW, took the grandkids to the Tulsa Zoo yesterday, and saw a bike just like yours on the way....

I work right by the zoo. And to answer question... Easier to adjust shock is all. My hand goes there to turn tiny set screw. But it doesn't happen often.rushes wrote:I vote no structural importance. Keep the regulator in the breeze tho.

Re: Plate across bottom of subframe.
I should've at least honked. Sorry...
I thought about stopping, but the kids were jacked up on Mt. Dew.
You would not want that in close quarters....
Oh, and the smell.... lol
