Centerstand & relay arm maintenance ..
As soon as it’s warm enough in the garage to work on the bike I’m going to tackle the centerstand and relay arm lube job..
Apart from the centerstand bolt that will get cut off to remove it, are there any other bolts, nuts, parts that I should order?

Re: Centerstand & relay arm maintenance ..
Bob, just finished mine, the bolts are 10mm x 1.25 x 30mm long. I couldn't get hex head, got socket head instead. The additional thickness of the head made install more difficult. If you are buying ahead of the teardown, order the hex head bolts. Are you doing the grease fitting install? I asked for and received Russ's pics, etc however I wont be doing it again for sometime.

I’m pretty sure that I’ll do the grease fitting install later this summer, Russ is out of commission for a bit and my bike needs its 25,000km maintenance pretty soon. I’m off to the Yamaha dealer to get the bolts and Honda brake pins at the same time..

I'm with Tom. Why? I spray the joint with rust check now and then. No need to remove it.

Re: Centerstand & relay arm maintenance ..
This is what I found after letting my '05 go too long without proper relay arm maintenance. Ignore at your own risk.
This is what drove me to develop the zerk fitting install mod.

Re: Centerstand & relay arm maintenance ..
There are grease seals on them thar bearings..... spraying from the outside ain't gonna do it I'm afraid. At the least, you can remove the links and lower shock mount, pivot the suspension arm down to lube all but the front frame mount. Takes all of 30 minutes.

Re: Centerstand & relay arm maintenance ..
Yup. I used Snowflake when I joined the FJ-09 forum and one other (advrider?) Figure FJReady wouldn't have much significance there. When I joined this sandbox, around the same time I think, decided to stick with Snowflake. That's an old nickname with my skiing buddies, earned for having the reputation for getting lost on the slopes. I like getting lost on my bike too. Sorry for any confusion.
