I think I see a rule 4 violation or two, but I like each picture too.
Rule 4 has been superceded by Post #1 by the OP... indicating 2 submissions possible per member...with only one possible winner per member. I'd say something to Designflaw...but he was clear enough in his post - for those that read it....and his dayjob is hasslin him enuf.

I was going to apologize for this being delayed, but I'm 2 weeks faster than last year so I'm doing well. I'm allowing 2 submissions per user this year, but only the top rated one for each user will be considered for the calendar. ...
I see some editing of the rules has now been done. I did read, but by the time I've read two sentences, I forget what the first one said. I really specifically noticed rule #4 when I was grabbing the email address for my submission and saw that I could only submit 1, so that kind of stuck in my head. All good now.

Does it matter when the submitted photograph was originally taken?
As long as it is Your photo...I don't think it matters. The first year it was offered, he didn't care. Not sure why he would care now. Plus, there is no rule listed against that.

And what's the minimum resolution you need, Tim?
No, it can be taken at any time.
Off the top of my head, I forget what the minimum resolution is. I believe it was a 5MP camera equivalent. Any smartphone or camera manufactured in the last decade should be more than capable. That is unless you did something unforgivable like setting your camera on anything other than full resolution.
You can't pull them off from Facebook either. Most social media sites compress images that makes them not useable.
".... That is unless you did something unforgivable like setting your camera on anything other than full resolution...."
Yeah..... there's that....
Dammit!
I'm down to 8 "finalist". I am my worst critic, but it says something that my wife and I have found 8 pictures that we feel are calendar worthy for this forum. Technical inadequacies aside, even the worst painter has to have some sort of canvas to start with.
I'll make my choice today.

I made a few changes. The images show up in the gallery automatically now when I upload them. It takes a step out of the process for me, but the gallery might be in a little different order than before. The good news is that there are almost enough entries to make a full calendar. I might be able to find the time to get some of my own up there.
I'm still making tweaks to the page. If you see an error or something wrong, it probably means I'm working on something. If it stays for a while, let me know.
After much consternation, I have made my choices. These are slightly different than the ones I submitted. I asked an expert for some help in applying filters. I hope that does not disqualify me. I asked the foremost authority I know who takes the most pictures and adjusts them to get the best lighting to make herself look more amazing than always. Thanks to my 16yr old daughter for the help.
First one is somewhere between Dinosaur National Monument and Colorado National Monument on 139. The Road is the Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway.
The Second is on Top of Beartooth Pass in Wyoming. The light looks a little weird because this is just after 10pm. Making the ride back down into Red Lodge quite frightening in the pitch black.
Madmudder, John d, NTXFJR and 3 others loved this
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Damn, bro! Both excellent photos, and I REALLY like the off-road riding to the edge of the dropoff on the Dino Highway.
Both those pictures will score high once they get posted.
