Hello From South Florida
I want to introduce myself, I am a suffering non FJR owner who says every time I buy a motorcycle I should have bought a FJR and saved me some money.
I live in Fort Lauderdale for now but I am building my retirement home in western North Carolina about 40 miles from the Dragon.
I currently ride a 2018 Honda ST1800.

Welcome Greg!
I'm sure as soon as you get a few more miles under your wheels, you'll figure it out.
Nice to see you here and looking forward to your contributions.

Quote from Uncle Hud on this board....
If so, I believe you are going to be at Mac's Speedshop in Greenville, SC on Saturday at 1pm.That's Greg Rice, serious LD guy from south Florida and participant in (at least) two Iron Butt Rallies. Don't think he'll mind me using his real name, since he uses it himself on his website. He's owned a string of white Gold Wings, but recently opted for a BMW RT over the 2016 Wing and the 2016 FJR.
Nice guy. Chatted with him a couple of times. He rode up with with 101stpathfinder, neaderthaler, and danh600 to Stagecoach last year.
<edit, 2 mins later> Checked the link, and he's riding a new 2018 Gold Wing. White, of course
If that is so, and I can make it, I will head over with another Long Distance Legend, Griff.

Re: Hello From South Florida
Welcome aboard. I've done similar to you. I crashed my FZ1 into the side of a car and was shopping FJR's for the replacement when a sweet clean Yellow and Black FZ1 was sent to my email and I bought that instead. Several years later, I was finally on an FJR. I loved that bee, but I haven't really looked back either, love my FJR.

Welcome, sir, despite your obvious non-FJR status.

Greg and I have mutual riding friends. We might have even met at one of the Florida RTEs that were popular for a couple of years. However I didn't get to go to stage coach. I think that was Dan Thaler(SP?). Not sure what screen name he posts under.
Welcome Greg!
I really wanted to do that ride around Lake O with you guys awhile back. I didn't have my FJR here at the house at the time. Plus, I seriously doubt I would have made all the laps.

Welcome Greg, Watch out for Wheaton! You've been warned..
I’d be more than happy to swear under oath that having watched you ride for many, many miles, there is no way in hell you could be speeding through those curves. -0face

Welcome to the forum.
ST1800, Huh? As skinny as they made the new Gold Wing, I guess you can get away with calling it that.

Ha. He made me look. I went to the Honda website just to see if there was something new.

Re: Hello From South Florida
I think Honda got tired of people calling the Gold Wing a Wingabago or a Hondapotamous, so they slimmed it down.
