Hahahaha! About the only thing I'm good for is riding. If I'm not there, something's terribly amiss.

Besides Veterans Day, a little southern Appalachian ride Hud promised to attend.
We'll see though.

Re: 2019 FJR
When I got mine the color wasn't announced until January or February, if I remember correctly. If they announce it anytime before then is just a bonus.

Re: 2019 FJR
The 15 is sneaky. Cop doesn't know if it's daring Black or boring Gray. Thinks it's boring Gray, especially with the gray haired fellow that just took off his helmet. That speeding must have been a one-off; ticket book put away.

Correct. Add this if it seems you're not getting anywhere: That fast!? Wow! I was just trying to ...{insert your own lame suburban Dad excuse here. Re: 2019 FJR
Does anybody still believe that the color of your motorcycle can have an effect on whether or not and/or how many times you get pulled over?
Oh wait.....
Nevermind.

YEAH, Some colors are faster right?
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Re: 2019 FJR
Some colors are "more observable" than others. Thus, fire engines painted whatever color they think is more observable than others.
I believe the red, being brighter than other colors and providing more contrast to background effects, is "more observable".

Fire trucks should be painted Mary Kay pink.

Kevin, you have to agree though that a pink fire truck will be quite noticable. But yes, red and yellow are better choices.

Bao,
Don't back away from your premise just to be nice...you are right and the Dakotahead is wrong. He just doesn't want to change his color matched firefighter's underwear and jammies.

Well - pink poke dot or otherwise, tomorrow is November 1 (today is in Japan, I believe) and still …. no announcement.
I'm getting concerned.

Re: 2019 FJR
I went to the Yamaha website and searched for 2018 FJR ES. If that dealer inventory finder is correct there are only three in stock.
So not a volume unit.
I got my 2013 from a small dealer in a rural area. They mostly do 4 wheelers. I have not seen another FJR in their showroom since I got mine.
Also, on the Yamaha website most models have a 2019.
Exceptions seem to be FJR, Tenere and Star cruisers. They don't have a Star cruiser past 2017. Guess they are discontinued.

Re: 2019 FJR
My 2 cents here.....might be worth less.
I just can’t see Yamaha bailing on the FJR with no warning. They know there is a loyal following and would likely take advantage of any increase in sales due to a “ farewell model. They could just repaint an 18 in a commemorative scheme and lots of folks would buy them because they would be the “last” model.
It’s all about the money and clearing inventories.
