Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Passed it by to ride the hottie's FZ-07 to work. It's a LOT smaller than the FJR.
First impression: "Wow! The airflow over that tiny cafe windscreen is sure nice! The vented jacket makes me feel like I'm riding naked!"
Second Impression: "Holy shit, this thing is squirrelly at 75 mph!" Once on the freeway, with a lot of other vehicles going 75 mph, I was feeling a completely different kind of naked.

Lol'ers!
I remember thinking the same thing the first time I took my 250 trail bike out on the hwy at 65mph. First truck that past me almost blew me off the road. The FJR is snoozing. The 250 was felt like a crackhead. Skittish is the word.

Took the wheels off it and dropped them off at the dealer for mounting. First time in about 4 years. I have a hover bike in my driveway.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Moved my FJR forward in the garage to make room for my DR650!
Farkling on the DR is is full swing! It came pre-farkled so it doesn't need much. Mount the GPS and a Wolfman tankbag on order. It has TKC-70's on it. I am thinking of getting some TKC-80's to improve road manners.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Wifey allows for my habit. She was hot to trot to leave the dealer as we had to drive 3 hours to a family reunion and likely she was thinking let's get the hell outta here.
About 3 years ago I agreed to get a very nice piano for her. I don't play piano. Fontanaman won the war on that one cause now I can get any damn motorcycle I want and she loves her piano. Better yet the piano will appreciate in value.
So I was looking at Africa Twins but by getting the DR, which is very well farkled, I save 10 to 12k and told her I was saving a boat load of money buying the DR.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Wifey got off early from work (she works in the summer now—-man, I bet she hates that). We went for a late lunch at MoonGlo. If you are ever stuck in this area, it’s worth the trip. Good hole in the wall bar. She had a cheeseburger and I got the breaded tenderloin. Wow, they are as good as I recalled. No pics because she doesn’t like her picture taken with helmet hair.
After we went for about a 2 hour ride pretty much no where in particular. Not sure if my favorite part of riding is twisting the throttle or clamping the brakes. Tough to decide between her thighs squeezing me tight or those boobs pushing on my back. Yeah, I typed that and I am not ashamed. Sorry I am not sorry if that sounds bad, one of the best benefits of riding with the wifey.
Oh yeah, weather was 82 and perfectly gorgeous outside. Low humidity and sunny skies. If I would have got a single picture, today would have been worthy of a one picture ride report.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
My bil has a busa and just couldn’t resist bragging how fast his bike was. He talked me into lining up with him on a nice straight stretch of back road and I showed him what a feej could do up to 130 with me on it. Yeah, I let him win. He did comment that he was impressed with my bike that it was no slouch. Funny how he slowed waaay down in the curves though, I had no issues staying ahead of him then.silverback wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:21 am Rode mine to work.
