Sounds like premature ejaculation by the pump. I too suffer from PE.

Many on this Forum have that problem -- with their mouth.

That is NOT cool!ionbeam wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 10:15 am Rode it to work again. Again. Stopped for gas on the way to work. In spite of being very careful bringing the hose to the tank I managed to spill a lot of gas all over the tank, left side faring and my gloves. GRRRRR!!! Same as always, I brought the nozzle to the tank upside down (outlet facing UP) and quickly flipped it down into the tank filler. It was like the hose was under pressure and it burst out a considerable amount of gas. (Maybe enough to light up a Lambo )
I am GRRRRRING!!! along with you.

Rode it 250 miles to see Mom (still doing fine, thanks) and will ride it back 250 miles on Sunday. Heavy clouds, but no rain. Perfect summer riding weather.
PS: drilled a couple of 1/8-inch ventilation holes in the hard plastic knuckle guards, and my gloves are WAY cooler.

Which gloves do you have, Hud? BTW - good to read that your mother is doing well. My Mom is 76 - she's fine for now, but I think I'll go see her tomorrow.
it's been 2 weeks since I threw a leg over. It's hot, but Sunday, I'll ride in the morning. I need it.

Did you remember to remove your hands from inside the gloves...this time?Uncle Hud wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 2:00 pm Rode it 250 miles to see Mom (still doing fine, thanks) and will ride it back 250 miles on Sunday. Heavy clouds, but no rain. Perfect summer riding weather.

Rode to PD13 today. Well it's only 15 minutes away. Cops everywhere, some with some heavy weaponry. Lots of HA and the like. BIG crowd.

So typical Dover gathering. The BEU always has a big show on for the big show. Last time I was there was just before my dad passed, he lived in Dover so I had a place to stay. That was about 2008 or so. I have 0 desire to return.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
OPP figured about 140,000 people came in to the town of Port Dover (population about 7000) by early afternoon. Here's some cellphone pictures.
It was crowded, but there were bikes all along the sides and every other street for that matter. You just can't see them in the pictures.
Look, a FJR. Best bike there in my book.
Is it fun? Well, not so much for me, I just find it interesting. For those that hang out all day it probably is, with all the beer tents, bands playing, overnight in-town camping, leather, T's, and trinkets for sale.

Me and a couple buddies rode 200 miles this morning before the sun got too high. Had a good ride.

Dammit, who's fooking with my avitar!--------------------!!!!------------------------------------->
Walked past it in the garage...patted the gas tank, and ordered two PR2 rear tires to be on hand for September and October's riding. They will be mated with T30 and PP fronts.
I think someone has too much time on his hands from falling down drunk in his garage and breaking his foot. Don't blame me...blame the worm!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it to work again (like I do everyday unless there's snow on the ground). But checking the countdown timer on my phone, I see that I will only have to do this 73 more times before I retire.
The fine print:
I'll officially retire the end of February 2019, but won't actually work a single day in 2019 thanks to vacation and paid holidays being used up.
I normally work four 10hr days each week and have lots of vacation, holidays and sick leave that reduce my work days for the remainder of 2018.
I suffer immensely with this stressful schedule.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I live in the south and have never yet punched a hole in the pavement. Maybe because ours gets baked to a crisp instead of staying at the putty stage.
Rode it to work today. Weather service says it was 102F when I left. Thermometer on the bike said the heat radiating off the pavement and vehicles around me was 106F. Took the Camelbak, didn't feel bad at all when I got home, just hot. Camelbak seems the best way to survive the hour long commute through the metromess.
