Welcome back! I've only been on here a few months, Festus threatened to make me do jumping jacks if I didn't join. So far these are some good dudes (are there any dudettes?) with lots of love and support for the FJR.

He graduated to a 1958 Norton 600, Dunstallized and fibreglass to be a cafe racer. 98 mph top speed but the first one getting there..... I eventually owned that bike.
When I was young I had a 1972 RM250 - Suzuki Motocross bike. I was in the Cacades Mts. riding single track. It was here I learned how useless the RM 250 was on a trail. A fellow was setting the points and dwell on his BSA 441. You kids here may have to look up dwell and points. Anyhow it was an impressive site when he took a run down the gravel parking area. You could see the rear tire spin on the power stroke.

The BSA owner and I went to a place where my RM 250 would just spin the rear tire in a fit of excessive horsepower. The BSA on the other hand simply chugged up the trail - no problem leaving me to look like a fool which a the time I was.

F/M - I had a '79 YZ250 that I bought to trail ride. Leaving the trailer without a fresh spark plug in the hole, and 3 spares in the pouch was taking a HUGE chance. If we could find some gravel road every 10 minutes so I could clear it out, I had a better chance. At the gravel, those behind me learned to hold back a ways, or they were going to get sprayed!!

One didn't ride that beast. He aimed it and hoped for the best.

That Victor was a fun bike when I could get it started. :D I do recall looking behind me at the churned up dirt road showing where the power stroke was hitting. Kind of like dash-dot-dash-dot-dash-dot...

Whoa! Noob appears and -- right off the bat -- starts hammering on 'Pants. 8-)

You just might be alright, gitbox.

Actually, I think Morgan Freeman says it first, then Tom Hanks quotes him several times as the movie moves along.

I wouldn't call that hammering. You might be just a wee bit sensitive, Hud.

...and I believe PPants may have gotten hammered before.

May.

Melodrama makes the world turn 'round, man. ;) Seems like the real world is just another reality TV series.

If you are not at least a little willing to stir up something, this place will be a little boring! LOL.

I'm glad that wasn't an apology. That would have been sad after a promising beginning. :D

I guess when someone goes to the trouble of inserting an image of an IMDB site to prove his point...more is expected.
