Hello all!
I didn't know this site existed until I saw a reference to it on a different FJR site. I think I am now a member of four FJR forums. Yay!

Good thing you clarified that, I was about to call you a liar after seeing your profile said you've been a member since Wed Nov 02, 2016 8:36 am.
Welcome to the forum. If you can tell a tall story or two you'll fit right in with these folks.

Re: RE: Re: New forum member
I searched twice for "who is the forum jackass" and it just kept redirecting to my profile page. I think the search function is broken. Probably should just let the new guy ask any tire and oil questions he wants.RacinRay wrote:As a new member we ask that you read (this) and (this). Sign (here). Initial (this) and (this). Re: New forum member
Thanks for the warm welcome. I already feel more relaxed here.
I think I will be visiting this forum on a regular basis.
Some condensed history:
I started riding when I was 16 on a BSA 441 Victor. A bike for masochists. Had a bunch more bikes, took a break from riding when my kids were growing up, then got back into it by restoring an old 1981 XJ650. From there it was a 2000 Concours, a 2004 FJR, then this one. I probably ride about 6K miles a year. Even during my break I would borrow a bike from a buddy and ride around for a weekend. Once motorcycling gets into you, it's hard to leave it.

Re: New forum member
Back when I was a teen, my buddy had a 441 Victor..... I'll agree with the masochist comment. It didn't stay too long in the stable. He graduated to a 1958 Norton 600, Dunstallized and fibreglass to be a cafe racer. 98 mph top speed but the first one getting there..... I eventually owned that bike.
