Every single shot makes me want to go to those places. I have been to some, but each picture tells me I could use another dose!

My calendar will come off the wall, but my love will never go away. I might make a book of them or put them up in the garage. Kinda like my pin up guys..............right Wheatie? I can't wait to ogle Mr. May from 2017.
Things are starting to make sense now.

That's a reasonable request. I did them in reverse order last year with the theory that the pictures got better and better as the year went on. But we can try month requests this year. Priority goes to the highest ranked.

I wouldn't worry about it...knowing Cav, he photocopied that month and plastered it all over the walls of his house, inside and out...so he could stare at it wherever he was.

I appreciate having this chance to fill up a calendar with FJR or FJRider photos from my buddies...but I am kind of mystified by some photos that aren't obvious "in the calendar" photos by others...like Auburn's Yukon photo of dusty travelers on their way to the top of the world, or Gramp's photo of his Triumph going through the Colorado mountains the gnarly way, or my buddy Duane/1911s shot of his bike and camping spot...lowest score, really?

I know they don't all get in...otherwise it's not a contest, but I am mystified.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder you know.

My favorite pic from last year was yours. I knew roughly where it was taken, the lighting was right, the bike looked great and it brought back memories of my happy times in that area.

Each contestant put what they thought was their best. I remember the RR that 1911 posted and at the time I thought he had some Calendar Winning Pics. I am thinking that he did this year what I did last year. He posted a pic that meant a lot to him. Sometimes a pic means a lot to the person that was there but if you don't have the back story, it is just another pic.

This year I think the Best Pic is not in the winning spot. Yet. It's all a matter of personal opinion.

Every pic cannot "win" but we are all going to be Winners when we receive our Awesome Calendars.

I wonder if some people actually read the scoring system and understand the general concept of voting for every single image. There is so many photos that have less votes and if everyone voted properly, then the vote count should the same on all photos.

I originally bypassed the rules and scored things like I thought they deserved, to my taste. Then I went back and read the scoring system and noted that it said "5 stars for ones you think are calendar worthy". That means EVERYONE that voted should have 12 photos with 5 stars. Otherwise, a bunch of you will have calendars with 2 photos in them and 10 blank pages. I went back and changed my votes to reflect what we were supposed to have done in the beginning.

I wonder how many others have 1-2 photos with 5 stars on them?

Remember----
5 Stars means "SHOULD BE IN THE CALENDAR"

Of course I only mention this because some of you slackers are pushing me down the list by not voting for every photo :nhlfight:

My photo is in a tie for last place so does my ranking suck? Hell no. I love that pic. I tried to get a better one this year but the pass opened late due to heavy winter snowfall. Despite getting there soon after the pass opend the snow bank was gone - kinda odd. Sometimes it take a few years to get the photo you are looking for.

This picture took years to get. On some years cars were parked next to the snow bank spoiling the affect of the road fading to infinite. One year was low snowfall so the snow bank was short. I think I nailed it on the third year. PS this is Rainy Pass on the North Cacades Hwy.

I personally don't think I should have to give a 5 star ranking to 12 different photos. We can vote however the hell we want to. Or not at all. Other than the man that set the rules and the man that owns the forum, I don't have to take orders and direction from anyone on this forum. This calendar contest is supposed to be fun. Yet somehow...

I didn't give many 5 star votes but I did vote for all of them.

Agree with RF. I voted for all of them and gave them the star rating I thought they deserved in my opinion.... it was the way I interpreted how we were supposed to vote. In the end it does not matter to me whose photos make the top 12, every photo is good and embodies some aspect of the sport we enjoy. I'm sure we'll all like whatever calendar results.
