Newb in FL
2 weeks ago picked up a 13 FJR and comfort control has begun last Sat I put on 350 miles and my butt was screaming coming off a Russell on my Victory Tourer. Great power even a bit scary after coming off that big heavy touring bike that was the main reason for the change seems "older I get heavier bike gets"
looking forward to all the input I can get
Anyone have a stock seat they want to let go? and how much?

Re: Newb in FL
Welcome. If you had a RDL on your prior bike you WILL have a RDL on the FJR. I have had a RDL on my last 4 bikes.
Searching for roads paved with Asphalt, unless I am riding the mighty DR650 bushpig.

Re: Newb in FL
Russell or Lamm, can't go too wrong with either one if set close to the rider's specs. I've done some 24+ hour runs on my RDL and it's been absolutely great. The only thing an oem seat is good for is to provide pans to build on (which is what you were saying, yes?).nottarb wrote:2 weeks ago picked up a 13 FJR and comfort control has begun last Sat I put on 350 miles and my butt was screaming coming off a Russell on my Victory Tourer. Welcome aboard!
Quite happy with my Laam seat for about half the cost of the Russell.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.
Yeah, I ride motorcycles. I know why dogs put their heads out of the car windows.
Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

Welcome, Not! I'm from FL too. This is our righteous riding season while our northern brethren not riding much nowadays. We pay for it in the summer though...
