I am told I am welcome here

Post by DesignFlaw06 »

Just another FJR enthusiast. Some of you have probably seen me at FJRForum. It was mentioned to me that I should pop in over here as well.

I'll be in the tech and geek sections. I'll throw a couple ride reports in there. Probably a lot of duplicate topics between here and FJRForum. I bring almost nothing to the table mechanical-wise as I rely on Tech Days for that.

Welcome, Tim! Yeah we'll squeeze ya for all that knowledge of electrics...... good to have you here. I asked another fine member to post up his install of the self-cancelling signals, and I'm hoping you can add to that for your install....... did we get that cruise fixed or is it still acting up?

Cruise control is fixed. Wayne sold me a unit with faulty dip switch settings. :stickpoke:

Here's what I think happened. First, there were several things that needed to be done. The slack was removed, the connection to the throttle was tightened up. With those being fixed, I think it amplified the issue that the Tach Source setting was on ECM instead of Coil. I know we compared switch settings between mine and Wayne's. They were the same. I'm not sure how his works and mine wasn't. I did some more reading when I got home from Tech Day, then flipped SW7 and all's right with the world.

Already added my piece of the puzzle. I've got GoPro footage of it in action, I just need to put it together.

Well consider yourself lucky. They told me I was NOT welcome here. I finally got them to let me in and now no one will talk to me.

Lying once again...er...telling tall tales. We'd talk to you, but you keep going on and on and on........so, yeah, maybe we did say you weren't welcome. But don't let that stop you.

I'm just surprised as hell that someone told the OP he was welcome! I mean c'mon...he's from :zombwobb: Michigan. :stickpoke:

Redfish and the OP have something in common. One has a catchy nickname and the other has many flaws!
