Brake Light -Modulated LED on license plate
I'd like to 'tidy up' the modulated brake lights. Right now, (previous owner installed) I have two small lights on either side of the plate. I'd like to install a single strip across the top of the plate.
An LED license plate would work but the IBA bit below the plate might get covered. Gotta brag after all!!
I found this on Aerostich. Wondering if anyone can recommend something better.

Re: Brake Light -Modulated LED on license plate
Those look like Hyper Lights and are a quality product. If it were me I would keep them on the bike. They are MUCH brighter than the stock lights and therefore add an eliment of safety to an otherwise (somewhat) dangerous sport. But, if you just want to tidy up a bit you could move the leds up and under the stock tail light and reroute the wires so they would come out just above the leds. AND, it wont cost anything!

small items i may or may not lock up when running errands...not intended as high security, just dry storage to blend in to the casual observer and/or petit thief...8 years and not fallen off once...

Re: Brake Light -Modulated LED on license plate
Kewl. I have an ST buddy in KY who prides himself on carrying enough tools to disassemble an entire ST1300. His tool kit is on the rear fender too and it's gotta weigh 20 lbs...... no freakin' way an FJR could handle that! The rear subframe would break!

Re: Brake Light -Modulated LED on license plate
The wiring could be cleaned up pretty easily by re-routing it - looks pretty bad right now the way it's hanging out there. Typically, I've seen the hyper-lites like that rotated 90 degrees and running on either side of the license plate.
