2016 FJR announcement: Oct 6

Post by Yamahama »

Dunno if it's public knowledge already, or if it's not true, but heard it from the sales manager at a good sized Yam dealer. Looking forward to the new color and hoping they considered adding TPM. It saved me once and it's worth having. Second would be ABS pro, or whatever Yam would call getting ABS well w/ the bike leaned.

Here's hoping for black, full lean sensitive ABS, and auto turn signal cancelers. Got to keep the FJR on top of the ST heap.

Personally, I think it's fast enough.

I'm on the other side of that. Five gears is enough for the FJR torque monster.

Maybe where the roads are all twisty, but a turbocharged version would make getting across the great American desert much less of an issue.

Plus with all the 6th gear rhetoric, we'll need a turbo to find the max speed on the second overdrive.

Just sayin.

If Bust gets his 'druthers, we could use the turbo for hauling stock trailers up steep grades.

I think SLK50 isn't far off. Assuming nothing radical, I predict you'll see the return of the AE here on this side of the pond.

It is very simple. We need more of the good stuff and less of the bad stuff.
My wife asked me why I speak so softly around the house. I said that I was worried that someone was listening. She laughed, I laughed, Alexa laughed.
