Hello from rainy, wet Southern California.

Post by Silver Penguin »

I see lots of names that look familiar here. :D

For those that don't know me, I'm a recently retired FJR rider. After about 35K miles on my dearly beloved '03 I finally admitted that I really wasn't tall enough to enjoy riding the bike the way it should be enjoyed.

After a series of other bikes, I've settled on a BMW F700GS which I picked up last week. I had a G650GS but that got broken, which is a whole other story. I'm getting mended but sadly the bike was beyond repair. I also ride a Yamaha WR250 off road and a Honda CRF230L when I need license plates rather than power. I don't profess to any great abilities in the dirt other than to putz around slowly and have fun.

I doubt that you'll see my husband Andy here, since he only does forums by proxy. He's been called El Profesor, The Bionic man and the Tractor Driver and is known to many of you. He rides an R1200GS and a KTM 450.
