A mid January ride....part 2 February

Post by Bugnatr »

A good crisp day to drag Puppychow and JREW up the Feather River Canyon in memory of our frozen buddies back east. Too busy riding for picture taking except at stop in Tobin where the Union Pacific Railroad crosses over the highway and each trades sides over the river. Such a great canyon river road. We had a blast. Image

It would seem Sam aka Puppychow picked up a habit from OFace last summer on the way to Spearfish. Image

A rail fan friend of mine took me to see the Keddie Wye railroad bridge over the feather river many years ago. We weren’t on two wheels but it was a beautiful drive regardless.

We’ve had a lot of rain this past week so I jumped on the STen and went back up the FR canyon in search of a few dirt roads that spur up from the highway along the river. Too many waterfalls to count and the river was ripping . Saw 2 river otters and paced 4 ducks flying down river parallel to the highway along. They were little fighter jets, clocked them at 59 mph for over a mile- so cool! Image

Looks like fun Bug! We're back to single digit temperatures at night. I can't wait for the thaw. It's been a cold one this year.
