Post by Abercrombie FJR »

Ahhh f@$k! I'm not saying that because I'm disappointed, I'm only saying that because I feel bad for those that think they let me down, which they didn't!

Mine just arrived today. I took it out of the box, flipped through the pages and admired all the great work, and hung it on the wall next to my computer where I do all my trip dreaming and planning. I didn't even notice the 2024 calendar error. That is probably because I usually write last years date on checks until about April every year.

I have proudly used this calendar for years to write in FJR & dual sport rallies I plan on or hope to attend, and my work schedule for classes at the motorcycle school. I'll be quickly ordering a new calendar and will refuse to hear any more apologies from anyone who honestly makes a mistake while attempting to do a good deed. Now if someone wanted to buy me a beer for their horrible mistake, I never say no to a beer. Just kidding!

Thanks for the hard work everybody. I know your time is valuable and appreciate what you do for the rest of us.

I've replaced both of mine. No need for anything for me.

Wayne - by all means, do what you feel you must.

But know this, and I'm QUITE certain I write for ALL of us:

There is NO NEED to do anything at a "no cost" option. Shit happens. We are all here becuase (in part) we accept the fact that shit happens, and yet we move on. We all know that you are taking this personally and want to "make it right" - your indisputable unquestionable integrity stands quite securely on it's own merit.

It's so easy to just print the correct 2025 dates and tape that sheet over the other one.

The pictures are what matters.

You can let this go.

Thanks and I / we appreciate it. But it's lead to an alterior motive - if my graphics guy can print a decent looking version, then I have a reason to create my very own version with just my pictures in it...

We may even consider an alternate means of producing them next year, where more of the funds go towards the forum.

Anyways, as Annette would surely chime in, "let it go? surely you jest..." :)

The discounted codes should still work on the reduced price calendar to save a little bit more money for those that want to order a replacement.

I do want to thank everyone for their support and understanding. Despite my mistake, we're still able to keep the lights on and the site will continue to run. I'll learn from my mistakes and I should have a better product for next year.

My 2025 calendar provided by the forum is date accurate. Bonus. Like Pants I was happy if it was a two days off because I can just slide everything two days to the right. Sliding things to the right was something we did very well at Boeing! (I worked there 38 years).

To the folks to create the calendar. I have created a personal calendar for about 20 years using Shutterfly and the quality is always top notch. I don't know if there is an opportunity to use Shutterfly for the forum's calendars or not.

Hey Redfish is here! We miss your ride reports. Where ya been dude?

My wife used to use shutterfly all the time. She likes to have all kinds of stuff made with family pictures. She had good luck for awhile. The last couple times with shutterfly didn't go so smooth. The final products never look like the proofs. Having them redo the job does no good. They just send a reprint like the first one.

I am looking at my mouse pad now. They cropped 5 of 6 pictures wrong after the proof. They seem to have a thing for chopping off heads.

Update.

I have 8 corrected prints that I did at no cost at one of my work sites. I'll go back through the posts, but if you ordered and recieved one of the 'error' versions and you'd like a version with the correct 2025 calendar months, please let me know - i'll need your address PM'd to me.

I already ordered and received a correct calendar. I figure it was just an extra donation. You don't need to worry about sending me one. Thank you for making the effort.
