For science! Or seance. I can’t remember for sure. I think riding to the double wide to pick up tires awakened the beast.

Wait wait wait. No one is going to bite on this one? Someone bought tires from Wheatie? The king of using up every last bit of rubber off a tire? What could he possibly have that someone would want, let alone, pay for?

Like at least 1 finisher in the 80s did (duct tape around the tire to nurse the last miles out of it).

Rode it. 45 degrees but the roads were empty and the deer stayed hidden.
Calling for snow flurries this week and if the salt flies I'm done.

Salt remains my hard cutoff point for late season riding. Here, it is inevitable once there is any snow or freezing conditions. Every once in a while, we'll get an unseasonable winter thaw and sufficient rain to rinse the roads to get a mid-winter bonus ride so the bikes remain ready to roll. I'm thinking I'll get a final ride today after washing both bikes and adding fuel stabilizer.

Tomorrow, 4 out of the 5 "local gang" will hit the regional roads for some 2-wheel therapy. I'm not a gambling man, but if you are inclined to wager on whether or not there will be ice cream, give the odds and wait for the ride report....

The odds of having ice cream are 100%. Waiting patiently for the ride report.

Installed the Eastern Beaver PC-8 today along with their wiring harness made to order for the FJR. It's the first time I have used the Eastern Beaver products. Very nice kit. Plug & play. I've used Fuzeblock in the past as well as some other items. All good stuff!

If you've used the fuzeblock in the past, what made you go with the PC-8? The PC-8 doesn't seem to be near as configurable as the fz1, but does come in at a lower price. I'm about to be looking for one for my 1190 as I have too many things going to the battery at the moment.

After hearing so many good things about about the Eastern Beaver stuff I wanted to try one. Eastern Beaver does make install very easy with their wiring harness custom made for the FJR.

I also have a Neutrino PDM (all digital) laying around I eventually want to install on one of my FJRs. $$$$!!! I am not sure that was a wise purchase but wanted to try one of the more modern style fuse blocks. That will go on the '23. I still have one additional FJR to farkle eventually (too many FJRs) and still undecided whether it will be PC-8 or Fuzeblock.

I've wanted to try those out but yea, $$$. More than I'd want to spend on that project.

My only complaint on the FZ1 is that I wish they'd double layered it so the ground was under the power, so you could just run the wire to the block with minimal split to it. Having to split and go around to the other side leaves it messier than I'd like it to be.

If I didn't have to pull the wires going from the front of the bike to the back I'd just move the one over from the FJR, since the FJR is currently only using one slot on the FZ1 so it's kind of a waste, but I'm lazy. :D

Me too!

I am SO far behind on SO many projects. I had told myself I would get caught up this winter. Too hot to be in the garage in summer. But, I can see that is not going to happen. Still, progress is ever so slowly being made! One FJR is listed for sale. I'll have another listed for sale in another week. Then two more in the near future hopefully. Also, trying to get my current shit properly farkled!

Oy vay!
