Still riding it pretty much every day. I'm not loving the squared off tires from my California trip. Gotta work a little harder in the turns. Over 25,000 miles ridden since June of last year.

Well, my 2015 FJR is getting new shoes, battery, oil and filter and diff oil change. Just hit 30k.
Got 11k out of the tires, 4k since last oil change, and it was the original battery.

Me ole '14 got new shoes on and some highway pegs to try out (mounted on the T-Rex bars with T-Rex peg brackets). Pegs are reproduction passenger pegs from a '70's Honda (they are square). Cost a whole U$5 a pair. Superbargain.

I hope Continental dramatically improved the RA's. I bought a set at EOM years back. Version 2 of i recall. Worst wear patterns I've ever seen on a tire at 3000 km.

Ya know, it was that moto tire squared off handling that kept me from trying a car tire for many years. I hated that transition over the 'edge' of a squared off moto tire. Hated it! So, figured a car tire would be worse. I was wrong. On a car tire you never transition over the 'edge'. For me, a car tire handles way better than a squared off moto tire. Just saying.....

I only know what a non-squared off tire feels like for the first 100 miles of a brandy new tire.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Not only did I get fatter and better looking over the last couple years, I found I turned into a giant wuss. 45f degrees the other morning and my hands were cold. So finally gave in and got some heated gloves. Wired that in just to see the weather is warming up and will stay warming for the next couple weeks.
So…waisted my time but got a new wire that I will complain about “I dont like it there…no not there either..dont like that”.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Installed fresh tires for EOM. The pair I took off probably have another 1500-2000 miles left in them but we're closer to the wear bars than I felt like chancing. Love that fresh tire feeling.

Not FJR exactly but related... Decided it was time after 3 yrs and my second western trip to wash the Klim Latitude gear. Let's just say the water was dirty and leave it at that. Clean for EOM.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it like a stolen bike. Saw a news article online that WV State Police were ramping up the enforcement of speeding this past weekend. Started the day saying "I'll go anywhere except WV, they are looking for speeders, and they specifically said motorcycles were one of the worst offenders".
1 hour later....
"Welcome to West Virginia"
499 miles for the day. Love this bike and love the Dunlop Roadsmart 4's. Just crazy how good they are.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Bought all new brake pads for the front. At 43,000 miles thought it was time to do them and forget them. A member of the Village People came and taught/helped me. Turns out my pads were like 90% new still, so a waste of money. No I didn't know what they looked like new so I didn't know if they were worn until I compared them to new ones out of the caliper. Most of my riding is touring but I thought they would be more worn than this. I'll never have to change them out again. Afterwards I followed the pirate on a beautiful sunny ride through the country. I did interpret the chaps as an invite to ride two up with him but he made me ride my own bike.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I ordered new front brake pads. After 67,000 miles, a couple of the pads on the left side are almost gone. I'll be installing them later in the week so I'll be able to stop or at least slow down once in a while.

I agree - they are really (REALLY) good. Much more compliant than the RS3s, wet and dry grip is excellent, and me thinks I'll get 30-ish % more miles out of them.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I haven't checked my exact milage but it's close to 9,000. The front is scalloping some but looks like it has 4,000 miles or more left in tread depth. The back, I'm not sure. The center is obviously getting thinner but the sides have a LOT of tread left. I'm hitting a spot where I can't tell how much is left in the center to be safe. I'm sure I can easily get another 1,000 miles out of the back. That'll put them at 10,000 miles on a set. I'm cool for that.
Already picked up a replacement rear on sale last month. Will grab a front in the weeks ahead.
