Camping or hotel?

I am camping over by the creek.

I know all of you had a good time today, but let me burst your bubble right now…… no one and I mean no one could have had more fun than me today. 200+ miles of the BDR Off pavement was absolutely epic. Pics later after I cook this dinner.
We will be hoteling it. So far, on our almost three week trip we have camped about 50% of the time. That is 100% more than I prefer.
Camping sucks!

Watching Scooter try to put a tent up made camping worth the inconvenience. And hey, where the hell are my tent pegs?!?!?!

Arrived early at the Blackhills lodge. Snow called for at my fuel stop heading to Yellowstone north entrance and possible across Yellowstone. So I bagged it. Headed for Ten Sleep canyon and the Big Horn range crossing. Wow.

FJRPittsburgh and MadMudder made it to Neighbor Don’s across the street from me. They’ll be continuing their “Yes, we know they aren’t Harleys” tour to Spearfish tomorrow. I hope to be rolling around 6a with a stop for pie at Al’s Oasis (thanks FYB) and little else.

Better than Pie at Al's Oasis is a burger at the Murdo Drive In a few miles further West.

Sonya and I arrived late this afternoon, picked up our rental car, checked into our hotel, and had a nice dinner with a few of the early arrival FJR heathens. Tomorrow will be a leisurely brekkie and then a visit to Devils Tower. :D

Coffee at Common Grounds @ 0730. Lots of riders planning on attending to sort out where to ride on Friday. Many gathered at the Motel this evening for beers and conversation before several groups headed off for supper. Group headed back to the campground about 9:30. If it is wet on Friday, and that looks increasingly possible, I suggest the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum, or the Spearfish High Plains Heritage Center as worthy of your time.
