CRS strikes again - Relay Arm Removal?

Post by dcarver »

Working on KrZy8 relay arm.

I recall that to clear the upper relay arm bolt the CS bolts had to be cut then reversed with new ones..

??? Can this be done with CS deployed or does it have to be in the UP position?

Pic from when I did Naomi. Are the CS bolts in the pic OEM or already reversed?

Sigh.

Those appear to be in the original position. It looks like the nuts are on the outside which would require the bolts to move to the middle and they will not clear the mechanical parts.

Just my opinion.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

The CS needs to be retracted.

Don't quote me on this but this bolts - with the nuts to the outside is the orientation you want to get them out easy. If orientated the other way the exhaust interferes with removing the bolt.

LOTS of info in this thread: https://www.fjrforum.com/threads/rear-s ... st-1030352

See this post. Your bolts are in the good orientation. https://www.fjrforum.com/threads/rear-s ... st-1038746
