The tall seat and the lowered foot pegs are aimed at the same problem...more legroom.

~2 inches up gained with tall saddle;

about 1 1/4 inches down with lowering foot pegs.

Having trouble deciding which would be most effective.

Catch with the tall saddle will likely necessitate bar risers; 1.75-in rox pivoting seems to be the most prevalent CB500X choice.

installing lower foot pegs brings the caveat of shift and brake pedal adjustment with unclear results

All 3 together would max out the fitment possibilities

They are all too damn pricey.

I'd start with the seat. Stock seats are crap. They all shove you toward the tank. Pick your saddle and start there.

Second for me would be dealing with the bar risers. Get your hands where you want them.

Lowering pegs would be an absolute last resort for me. I want to be able to use all of the tire.

Thanks Pants.
We are on the same page.

Seat Concepts tall model specific saddle seems a no brainer.
https://seatconcepts.com/products/honda ... rally-tall

Risers necessary if seat goes up 2 inches. I can't lean forward that much or I'd have bought a Ninja. 😉

Cable inspection looks like a fixed riser block with choice of fore or aft is the ticket.

I don't have any Rally Raid aspirations so not worried much about losing a little ground clearance. If peg should drag on pavement...good reminder of getting to big for my britches. Lil Honda ain't got enough ass under it in stock form to push hard. Reviews (fwtw) of the lower footpegs have not revealed an issue.

Looked at that bike at a dealer today. Sweet bike! Really comfy. Looks like it's a great choice.

Yup, I'm with Pants. Peg lowering only solves one problem, and creates another. Seat solves several issues and has zero drawbacks except the hit to your bank account.
