Lowering the bike

With my head down in shame--- I dropped my new bike scratching the left mirror, left side cover and saddlebag. With my 29" inseam I'm having a really hard time touching. Is there anything I can do to lower 1 or 2 inches. I don't remember having this problem with my 05. Need help badly.

There were some homemade lowering links on my '08 when I bought it. you're more than welcome to have them if theyll work for you

Look up Soupy's lowering links, they are turnbuckle style so you have infinite adjust ability.
I too have a 29" inseam , and I was able to set the height so I can get 1 foot flat , or touch the balls of my feet.

Your seat is at the lower setting I assume? I have a 30" inseam and ran mine on the high position on the 07. Just a thought...?

Okeefjr,

On my 2008, there is a plastic seat bracket which the seat pan sets down on. You can pivot this bracket upward, and spring the pivot pins out of their holes. Then the bracket can be pulled out and set aside. The seat pan will sit solidly down on the frame now, maybe half an inch lower than the Low position. Every little bit helps. :D

New bike drop syndrome. I figure I will just throw my next new one down at the dealer when I buy it. So I can order the parts right away. Get it over with ya know? ;)
