His site is promoting "Book your Ride-In today with the only long distance seat company located on the Eastern Seaboard!"

Seems like a good move to me. Hope it works out well for him. Small businesses are critically important.

They're different. They're both good (to very good). Maybe the two best, unless there are better ones out there--it's pretty subjective, I think we all agree. But BOTH Laam and Russell are a LOT better than the stock seat, most butts agree. So if you live near WVa, you're in luck. One of the real good seat builders is moving to your backyard. If it was Russell moving there, that would be good for you too. I'm just glad I have my own Laam seat out there on my third FJR, after I had the same seat on my '14 and then my '09. I'd hate to have had to give it up because it didn't fit one of the bikes. Anyway, east coasters, glad you'll have the chance to ride to Seth's new place for a one-day makeover and get back on the road. Bet you'll love it.

So, in your opinion is the Laam a 500-mile-a-day seat?

Have a Meyer seat on the FJR, 1,156 miles in 18 hours on it when I was 12 or so years younger.
Seth's seat on my S-10 is kind of cool, he build the seat to be in the low position but used different foams to have the seat as high as the stock high position. Makes the gap around the tank look better. I did close to six hundred day with it last September after the Why Not Baker City Rally and was fine and that was the last day of an almost two week ride.
What I liked about dealing with Seth was the material I picked was a bit slick and would slide a bit forward so after four five years I contacted him and told him what I didn't like and he said send it down as he had found some better foams and a grippy material for the cover. I basically got a new seat for $250 after four or five years. I Thought that was fair.
I don't think I'll ever find a perfect seat for my boney butt, the so so pain is part of the game.

I'm a 400-ish mile a day rider. I've ridden almost 1,000 miles in a day before, and 500-700 miles several times. Don't like any of it. When I get to about 400 miles, I'm done. No seat is gonna change that.

My 1,500 mile a day seat is mounted in the fuselage of an airplane :) I don't even like flying that far :)

FWIW, i just did 770 from N Mi down to Nashville. I use a Laam w/ airhawk, and i have no issues w/ seat fatigue. My knees get stoved up, but not my backside.
