Posi-Tap® connectors

Anyone have experience with these? I just received some via Amazon and they seem solid as hell. I'm sure they'll do what I'm asking but first I thought I'd pose a question: is there anything I should add to the equation like dielectric grease for connectivity or liquid tape for (additional) weatherproofing? Rumor has it that motorcycling can be tough on electrical connections. Overkill can be a bad thing (or so I've heard) but I thought I'd run it by the collective first.

I'll add that they're expensive (around $1 per connector) but reusable and inspire way more confidence than the "suitcase" or "guillotine" taps that most auto/hardware stores carry. Also, they seem to run a little small. I'm tapping into 14ga AWG but the 14-16 Posi-Tap wouldn't fit. Fortunately I ordered a few on either side and the yellow, 10-12ga seem to be spot on.

I've used Posi-Taps on multiple installations and have never had an issue. Never added any additional waterproofing or used dielectric grease.
Use the correct connector for the wire sizes you are working with. You can use different wire size ends on the same connector barrel.
I carry an assortment in my tool kit to help others fix their crappy wiring on the road.

Posi-Taps give secure and neat connections. You can do more if you want, but the P/Ts are very good--secure and easy--for most applications. Clearwater Lights, for one, uses them for all their connections when they do installations and includes them when they ship, and I think other manufacturers default to them too.

Same, I've used them for years without issue. The problem is there distribution and cost. I think I'm gonna give wago connectors a try.

Posi-Taps have been the connector-of-record for some FJR Forums for decades. Lots of real-world positive experiences from many riders (including me).

I've had good results. Used posi-tap for both FJRs for my Fuzeblock trigger, has not failed in the almost 6 years of use on both. I did add dialectric to the 2022 install (just to the open ends, then heat shrink) but did not on the 2016.

Adding another positive review here. Used them when adding a Fuzeblock and additional LED brake lights years ago and all still works.

I have them in place under my front right fairing being used to connect main power supply to my LED lights. Been there about 60k miles or so with no issues...

Posi-Taps are excellent and have been a go-to for a number of years.

I also have a stash of Wirefy connectors as well.

Just to add to it, these have been awesome. Just need a heat gun and you have a waterpoof soldered connector. Doesn't do the same thing as a positap but is very useful on a motorcycle.

I've been eyeballing these connectors for awhile but never pulled the trigger. They just seemed to good and easy to be true.

They are slightly more fiddly than they show them to be in the videos but they seem to work really well. Buy a cheap small set and test them out and let us know what you think.

Ya, thanks buddy. You already planted the seed Saturday night and I ordered a 200 piece set on Amazon and then Amazon suggested I get a little mini heat gun with a curled shield that would work great with these and heat shrink tubing. I already have two heat guns.
