Rode it over to Viper Dad’s place and watched his son and him bleed the brakes and clutch. Bled my ABS system too, clutch too.

Noticed I have no peg feeler on one side. Would probably explain why I never hit the feeler on the left side πŸ˜‚

Well, truth is, it wasn't Lumberg riding bitch. Out of the blue, A week ago, Louanne asked for a short motorcycle ride. I looked at her funny...she had taken herself out of riding years ago. 4-5 years ago. We had a short but sweet ride around the rural landscape around here. We ended up in Tryon, NC where she walked around the shops and I hung close, pretending to be interested. It was a great day. Burned some old gas purchased three months ago in Tennessee.

Thinking of going on a day ride.

RacinRay wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 9:43 pm I started checking the bike over for my Wednesday departure for EOM. Checked for loose fasteners, cleaned the dead bugs off the windshield, and aired up the tires. I uploaded all the routes from the forum to my GPS and created several to give me options for traveling down and back. I also grabbed a bottle of bourbon for medicinal purposes. Now I need to start pulling my gear together for the trip.
Nice being retired and having time to do it now. I'm putting the final touches on my trailer today. Wednesday mounting bike chocks, loading up bikes, washing bikes, getting packed. See you Thursday night.

The Asphalt Gray has grown on me. It looks very good clean or dirty.

I still think the '14 is the best color.

Washed it. Reinstalled my heat troller, as summer is ending. Ordered a PR4GT front and a new warmnsafe heated liner. Mine has seen a lot of use and is too large to allow for efficient heat transfer.

Have you ever ridden a DS bike? From what I've seen following one or two and read about a CT tire on a FJR is that it won't slow you down at all.

Works quite well on the wing...

Been there, done that - to the tune of 30,000 miles or so on two different CT. Saved a bunch of money but never loved it. I am also frugal (cheap), but haven't been tempted to go back.

Having Lumberg on the backseat would be about the same as Jwilly - it's all fun and giggles until you drop a gear and bank into that first turn...
