Color-rite kinda has a monopoly on the factory paint codes...and they take advantage of that, through their pricing.

Re: Pants is setting up his 2021 FJR and has Questions
Thank you, Joe
Also - I have not installed the 1" Bar Risers yet on any of my FJR's.
Confirming that to do this requires me to cut the wire retaining device that holds all of the wires/lines going to the bars and then remove the top part of the triple clamp? This looks a bit more involved than I expected.

Re: Pants is setting up his 2021 FJR and has Questions
I am the turd who sold Pants the risers. I didn't have the installation instructions because my 17 came with the risers. I swapped the risers for a Heli Bridge.
I suggest visiting the Heli web site scroll down a bit to the installation instructions. It will give some good tips on gaining slack needed to install the risers.

IIRC it is a "security T10" with a hole drilled up the center.

Can you grab the heads with a pair of needle-nose Vice grips or similar? If so, take the old screws out and replace them with Allen cap screws.

I'm going to use the right tool to remove them, and then replace them. I got no problems buying tools - it does aggrevate me when someone borrows mine and doesn't return them, but that's another story.

T-Rex is temporarily out of stock on these:

If anyone has a pair they are interested in parting with, please let me know.
(I know that the engine cages are available, and that they presumably protect better, but I want the sliders.)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Pants is setting up his 2021 FJR and has Questions
My first tank full of fuel yielded 40 mpg. Given the conditions, I would have expected 43-45 mpg. Air filter and air box are clean. Neither front nor rear wheel drags.
Gonna burn a few more tanks and see what happens.
Ride more, stress less.....

Re: Pants is setting up his 2021 FJR and has Questions
My 15 has alway gotten 43-45 regardless of how you ride it. That's using ethanol regular. I've used non-ethanol fuel with no change in mpg.

Autozone sells a full set of security torx for around 5 bucks.
Installing 1” riser blocks does include removing the stock assembly and cutting the wire looms attached to them.

Still playing with the stock bars to determine if I"m going with the risers or not. I have seen plenty of videos on how to install them.
Didn't fill up the fuel tank upon arrival back home, but indications are that this tank has yielded what I'd expect. Riding more, stressing less...

To keep Pants' stress level low and keep him riding more I will not post my '17's mpg.
